    Ib Profin Messed Up

Oh wow, Really!? If that's the case then why do they give you blood thinners at the hospital to prevent blood clots?

    I Want To Cry... :(

That's really odd that you didn't know that. That is one of the main requirements. My nutritionist told me about the whole weigh-ins as well. My insurance only required 3 months but I was weighed by my nutrionist and by the surgeons office. I hope you didn't already start the process because that would be terrible!!!
  5. Oh no!!! I think she should check into that. I believe this is a waste of time as well. Tell her to call her insurance company to see if they require all that excessiveness. If not, question the doctor's rationale regarding this. Personally, I find that to be quite ridiculous. But I'm no M.D. so who am I? *shrugs*!! Hehehe.

    New Month, New Beginnings

Good Luck to you!!! You'll do well.~!!!
  7. Thanks for the encouragement everyone. Sometimes I get wrapped up into the whole racing/rapid results mentality. I didn't realize 18lbs in 15days is a decent amount of weight loss until I read your posts. This is why I love this forum. @Cita - I am 236 now. I'm so close to onederland. I can't wait! Thanks Everyone !!
  8. I think so as well. *sigh*! How many calories are you taking in per day?

  10. I was sleeved July 17th. I HATE protein powder!!!!! The only time I like it is when I buy a smoothie from tropical smoothie and they add in the unflavored protein. Otherwise I'm not interested in them. I've tried several brands. Most of them smell awful. How can I drink it if I can't even stand the smell!? OMG. So most of time I end up throwing it into the trash before even tasting it. I can take EAS protein shakes but otherwise I'm not interested! lol.
  11. You look amazing!!!! This is definitely inspiring!! Keep up the good work~!

    After Surgery

I was sleeved July 17th. I had none of the issues you speak of. I know everyone is different but I'm sure it will get better. I too was on morphine. I had a little bit of nausea but it wasn't bad enough to where I couldn't walk. It just made me very weak so I was afraid to walk. Eventually I got up around 3AM and forced myself to walk. Mind you my surgery was at 7:30AM (on time) and yes I was laying around for that entire time! The gas pains are terrible. In fact, I didn't find walking helpful at all (in regards to releaving the gas). I was chewing gas-x like it was noones business. That somewhat relieved me. Otherwise I just dealt with it. I didn't have any throat pain. They told me they were going to put a breathing tube down my throat so I suspected my throat would be sore when I woke up but prayerfully it wasn't. However, when I had the endoscopy done my throat was hella sore! OMG. So I definitely feel your pain. And yes, coughing hurts like hell! Unfortunately, I caught a cold on day 3 and oh boy was it painful to cough. Sheesh. Anyway, I understand what your going through. Just take your pain meds, walk a little each day and I'm sure it will get better. Take Care ~!
  13. Oh MY! Unfortunately this has not happened to me or anyone I know. I just wanted to send my support. I hope everything turns out well when you go see the new Dr. Good Luck!
  14. Have you ever wondered what YOUR actual sleeve looks like!!? I don't know if I'm weird or what but I really want to see what it looks like. It would have been nice to see my stomach before it got sleeved as well!!!! lol.
  15. Wow!!! I didn't think pickles would move the scale up like that. Sheesh!! I do like pickles. I'd say just enjoy yourself in moderation. You'll be fine!
  16. Me too! I was going to ask to see that portion but I was late to the hospital and everything moved so fast I didn't have the chance to say boo before it was lights out!!!! *sigh*
  17. Hahaha!!! I'm sure your nurse didn't really want to be bothered. But I do think it should be apart of your medical records. I'm going to ask my surgeon about this when I go back next month. Googling a pic... Really!!? Is she serious. lol. WOW!

    Food After 6 Weeks

OMG That's insane that your just now moving onto soft foods at 6 weeks out. I was sleeved July 17th and I have no restrictions besides bread, pasta, rice, corn, etc.! I would die if I had to be on liquid for six weeks. Sheesh!

    Throwing Up

I was sleeved on the 17th. Yesterday was the first day that I threw up. I felt the food get stuck and then it slowly started to try to make it's way up & out!!! I had cream of chicken soup and threw it ALL up. I think it was too thick. I was able to keep it down pre-op. Today I had a piece of turkey deli meat and I felt it just sitting there stuck. I thought it would come back up but it slowly made it's way down. I think I need to eat slower. I notice meats take me longer to eat. *shrugs*
  24. That's amazing!!! I can't wait until that happens for me. Keep up the good work~!!!
