I felt the same way about the endoscopy! You will be fine. Your asleep for the procedure and the worst part is the iv!! Lol. I had a sore throat after the procedure. But it wasn't that bad. Don't be scared! I went to work the next day. It's no biggie! You'll be fine!
This article was posted in a different thread. I thought it would be an interesting read for this thread... Enjoy!

Yay!! Congrats!!!! How long was the waiting period for you to obtain your date? I am still waiting and am becoming extremely frustrated!!!! I thought the process would be a bit quicker. Ugh.
My surgeon told me the exact opposite. He said the sleeve WILL 1. completely reverse the diabetes/send it into remission or 2. the patient will drastically decrease the dosage of diabetes medicine. He also told me that all of his patients with diabetes completely stopped taking medication within a few days post op! Also, I know someone who had gastric bypass and her diabetes was reversed almost instantly. She gained all of her weight back plus (we're talking over 100lbs here) and she still DOES NOT have diabetes. She's also an RN..Go figure! lol. There are lots of articles out there that discuss this. I believe a combination of the WLS, diet & exercise will completely destroy this disease! I have not had the surgery yet but I cannot wait until the day this disease is out of my body for good. Good luck to you!!
How many shakes are you drinking per day? Do you have to consume a certain amount of fl oz per day? Would you say the hardest part of the diet is that you can't chew any food?

I have a question regarding the liquid preop diet... What does the diet really consist of? Are you allowed to drink as many shakes as you want or are you only allowed 3 meals per day which would equate to 3 shakes per day? Just curious as to why everyone complains about the hunger levels while on the preop diet....!?
Do you have any of the co-morbid diseases...(high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes)? I know that will definitely help the approval process. And it's not difficult to get high cholesterol...wink wink! (I know that's bad)...! lol.
OMG. First off, congratulations! And secondly, you definitely should GO!!! That's an amazing opportunity and, if anything, you may be able to pick up better eating & exercise habits that will help you post op!
Hello! I haven't had surgery yet. But, I definitely understand how your feeling. I would say just breathe, say a prayer and focus on the positive aspects of the surgery. You'll be fine! Let us know how everything works out for you. Congratulations & Good Luck tomorrow !!!
