Day Three Pre Op Tomorrow
jason replied to Amytequilahouse's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey there I was just thinking that yes you can and will lose weight preop but the important thing is to shrink your liver. My dr said he can tell if the diet wasn't followed. He has even turned down people after starting the procedure for having not shrunk down there liver enough. That being said I want to have my surgery go smooth which should be around the 11th of June so I started the protein and protein bars yesterday. Other than being super tired and hungry its all good. -
Morning, I am currently waiting for my insurance. I was told that I should have my sleeve around 3 weeks. I am suppose to do the 2 week pre op diet. I got ahold of the drs office and asked if I could start it now. They said the sooner the better. I'm not required to lose any weight prior to surgery but after reading this forum forever. I came to the conclusion the better preop diet the faster recovery and less chance on complications do to my big ol liver. So here we go protein and proton bars.

How are all you doing? This is my first post! I am currently in the process of getting my insurance approval. It was submitted on the 5-15-12. So I am told I will begin the 2 week pre- op diet on or about the 29 of may. I can't wait to get headed in the right direction. I'm a 34 male with two kiddos I want to be here for. I hope I can get off of these dang blood psi meds. Currently weighing in at297 I am 6'2". I really can't wait I read this forum all day at work.
