My Has This Group Grown.. Anywho, How Much Have You Lost Far?
jason replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Surgery 7-9-12 54lbs down -
I was sleeved on 7-9-12. It's been really good to me! I workout 2x a day weights in the am and cardio after work. I'm down 54lbs.
-
I run 2 or 3 miles a day depending on how I feel. I get really sore now so as long as I do cardio first I'm good
-
I wake up at 415 make coffee and get to the gym at 5. Then I do 30 mins of cardio. Then lift weights. It gives you energy for the whole day
-
I'm at 52lbs down since. 7/9/12. Been working out everyday and kiteboarding when the wind is up
-
I used to drink allllll the time. Well last night I had two sips off of my wife's beer and yes it tasted great. I didn't like the full bloated feeling I got. I guess if I have to have something it'll be a mixed drink.

Well I am a little confused. I am now six weeks out today. And I am now able to swim and workout. ( already have been) I understand that within the first five to six months it is normal to lose up to 60% of your extra weight. The bummer is that on my two week check up I was down 26. And now at 6weeks im only down 38. Everything slowed. But I feel great. I did have a stall. Maybe it's still lingering. My dr said my goal should be 100lbs. I'm just worried that I'm doing something wrong. Ever since they told me to drop a protein shake and have something every 2-4 hrs. Which I do. And I am basically on Atkins. I get all my protein and water Idk what do y'all think? Thanks for your input
-
I guess it was a stall. As of this morning I'm down 48lbs. Just under two months. 50lbs to go. I started out at 298. The dr said I should be around 190-200 I'm 6'2". Going in to talk with nut about how many calories I need to be getting. I'm only getting 700-800 now I've been keeping a really good excersize and food log with my fitness pal.
-
Made it I'm on real foods! But the best thing is I've lost 40lbs so far as of this morning. I can run again and I can kiteboard again. I really am enjoying the gym.

Well I guess it was just a stall!!! I'm down 48lbs as of this morning.
-
I've lost 43lbs. Since 7/9/12 congrats. I am shooting for 23 lbs a month
-
Not a problem. I was outside working on my boat trailer I was in pain but I'm too hardheaded to ask for help. Im 7 weeks out now and fully realesed. Now kiteboarding and running and lifting weights. It gets so much better. Don't sweat it.

That happened to me as well. I was wondering when it would stop. And I even posted the question here. But for me it all stopped at 3 1/2 weeks. I started to forget about it at week 3 then I'd move wrong But it totally went away at 3 1/2. Good luck.

jason replied to SweetQui's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congrats!!! Good luck tomorrow you will do great. I recommend laying down and getting up several times today, cause you'll miss it for awhile untill the soreness is gone. -
"As " not ass. Oops
-
Thanks butterthebean, I feel I'm doing ass I'm suppose to and I do track and log everything on my fitness pal. I'm staying at about 700-800 calories per day. I'm not really bummed just didn't know how I am doing compared to everyone else.

How Long Did It Take For Your Incisions To Heal?
jason replied to GiiNaGiiNa408's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I asked the same question right around the 2week mark. Then I kinda forgot about it cause after a week I was so pumped about eating soft stuff. But now that I think about it it took me right st 3 1/2 weeks to stop that pulling tight pain at the larger site. I was sleeved on the 9th of july -
Well I was sleeved on July 9th. I would like to know from you veterans how long it takes for the large incision to heal? Ya know the one that they pull your stomach out of. My problem is that I can't bend over without pain and I can't lay down flat either. Feels like the stitches were put in to tight. There is the ridge under my skin, I showed the people at my drs office they said it was ok

I am 12 days out and I've been drinking coffee ever since day 4. What I was told is that it dehydrates you. I am not worried about that I get plenty of water.

Post Op Week 1 And Hungry, But Not Head Hungry!
jason replied to IwantTHATshu's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I just pulled out all my info from the dr. Then went to Walmart in search of a better acid reducer. Well I'll wait untill the pharmacy opens:(. I think it is my acid acting up. I've never had it in my life. So I guess I didn't know how it felt( acid reflux). Other than that I'm down 21lbs in 8days -
Post Op Week 1 And Hungry, But Not Head Hungry!
jason replied to IwantTHATshu's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congrats first off. I got my sleeve a week ago as well. I can definetly say. That I'm not sleeping good now either. I wake up a lot. Could be the large incision ( which hurts ). I am getting all my protein and water. But I feel hungery in the afternoon all the way through bed time. I still don't know what FULL is I haven't tested that therory I don't want to mess up my sleeve. I read yesterday that it could take a couple weeks to get over the feeling of hunger, don't know if this is true. Protein time. Gotta run. -
Hello all I'm on July 9th. I can't wait. I have to start my two week diet on the 27th.
-
Congrats. How do you feel. Wish you the best my surgery is 9july. Can't wait
