I had surgery because I didn't feel I had a choice. I have been on every diet out there. I was never able to keep any of the weight off. I gained 5-10 more after every diet. I had been thinking of surgery for 3 years. I kept thinking it is such a major surgery and just didn't want to do it. I thought I can do it myself. Well 3 years later and 50 lbs heavier I came to the conclusion I needed help.I couldn't stand more than 5 minutes. Had to go on medical leave and eventually on disability My blood pressure was out of control. I had thyroid problems and atrial fibrillation. My life was sitting on the couch all day because it pained me to move my knees hurt so bad. Now I am 40lbs lighter and I can shop for longer than 5 minutes. I use to shop and if I couldn't get it in 5 minutes that was too bad. That is all my knees could take was 5 minutes of shopping. I look forward to many more benefits as I get lighter.
