Thanks!!! I found a place less than five miles from me that sells the PB2 - I ran right down and bought some. Also picked up some protein shakes to try with some soy milk (a couple different types). Going to try some different combinations to see what I like!

Yeah right? I think those of us here could make a great support group for each other! And really - in the metroplex we are all probably within 45 minutes of each other. Carrollton is probably a good central area to meet up - or possibly Irving?

Oh that is soooo hard. You get yourself all ready for "that day" - then it gets put off. I know how hard that is. I have had that happen to me before! Just remember - it will be here before you know it - and the wait will have been worth it!!!!!

Speaking of protein drinks - are the Medifast drinks okay? I have those stocked up in my fridge - and I do like them - anyone else using them?

OMG - I HOPE that happens to me. I LIVE for peanut butter - I will just eat it out of the jar. I've been known to consume a whole jar in a sitting Yeah - I would be happy if I lost my love of peanut butter!!!!! My nemisis - my love! LOL

Good luck! I know the insurance thing doesn't always move as quickly as we want. Have you tried calling your insurance company to see if they have received the information yet? Some docs hold up the process (not on purpose) by not getting all the info to your sleeve doc in a quick fashion. I have known some people that have literally had to go to the doctors office and get the information themselves and take it to the sleeve doc! Wishing you the best! Let us know how it's going!

As a fellow 50 year old - I too can't wait!!!!! I haven't been in size 10's since I was 30 years old!!!!! I can't believe it's been THAT long! LOL I can't wait to get into 10's again - and maybe, just MAYBE - back into my old size 7's - man - that would be sweet and I would be one happy lady! Congrats to you! What an inspiration!

I just wanted to share this site with everyone. I found a place called lendingclub.com that is REALLY interesting. This is not a bank loan. This is a loan through "invenstors". You fill out your application - then invenstors can see your credit score, what you are looking for in $$ - and decide if they want to help finance your loan. The financing rates are much lower than what they are for what a personal unsecurred loan would be. You put on the app what your loan will be for. An example are the following: Medical Bills Debt Consolodation Pool Purchase Vacation Etc. The list goes on. This is a great way to get some financing for your surgery if your insurance will not pay for it. After I've finished this - I am going to become an invenstor myself. You don't have to invest thousands of dollars. If you are looking to deversify you holdings - this is a great way to do it. I'm really impressed with this process. I needed an extra $5200.00 for my surgery - and I did not want to tap my savings, 401K or IRA. So I decided to go this route. I am 40% funded as of today - and I'm really happy about it. I can't wait to become an investor myself. The returns are much better than you can get even on your savings, yet alone a 401K or IRA. For anyone interested - take a look. I'm just really impressed with this - and hopefully it will help out others that may have been turned away by insurance - or their insurance (like mine) has an exclusion!

Man - my surgery isn't until the 23rd - and I'm seriously having a hard time concentrating on my job or ANYTHING else!!!! Anyone else having this problem? I need to get my work done - and my head is pretty much NOT in it at all! All I can think about is this surgery!!!

LOL - soooo glad to know it's not just me! I keep checking on the forum as well! And Benjammin - I hear ya. I too am paying for mine. I still have $5100.00 to come up with - so on top of everything else - I'm stressing over that - waiting to hear on a loan. I think once that is set in stone - I will feel much better. I agree with everyone - this forum is my new addiction! Trading one for the other! LOL Maybe it's because the majority of us have fought this battle for so long - and now that things are in motion - we can't wait to get our new lives started!
