Sleeve Guru - glad you are doing well! Waiting to hear too from beautifulnewme!!!!! I know she had her surgery yesterday and I'm waiting to hear that she is okay and doing well!!!!!!! Huggies to my May Sleeve buddies! I go in a week from today!!!!! So very excited!

My husband too is very supportive. He has gone with me to all my doctor appointments and has been speaking with a friend he works with that had the gastric by-pass done a year ago. He wants to be fully informed. I'm glad because it's going to make it much easier one me in the long run. Espically his talks with the guy he works with that had the by-pass. He has told him how much everything will change for me - and because of that things will change for my husband too (as far as what he eats, how much, etc.). We are very excited! I am one week away today!!!!! By this time next week I will be waking up in my hospital room!

Lissa - I LOVE reading your posts. You always have such good insight and always help make me feel comfortable with my decision to do this! Big huggies to you! Didn't mean to hi-jack the thread! Lol welcome. You will find this a great place to calm your fears and such a huge support! I would also add that your mind has to be in the right place for this surgery. You STILL have to work at it and get ahold of those reasons you eat. This surgery is the best tool the medical profession can provide you to reach your goals. However if you don't put the effort into it - you won't get out of it what you ate looking for. Sent from my iPad using VST

Everyone needs something different out of a doctor. That's why there are so many different doctors in the world . I would seek a second opinion - and if need be - have a second meeting with your first choice in a doctor. And don't be afraid to call his nurse and talk to her about how he made you feel. Remember - doctors are people too and can have bad days. Dear God - I would hate to be a doctor on one of my bad days! Lol. Sent from my iPad using VST

My insurance has WLS exclusions - nothing is covered under that. We have a small company - and this is typical for smaller companies
