Just Got My Insurance Letter Back And...
HoneyBeeBK replied to Corange's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The whole process took me a more than a year from the initial consultation to the surgery. I had to do a six month supervised diet, one chest x ray, two chest ct (doc wanted to make sure there were no infections[ I have asthma], stress test two times( the first one was over a year old). I also did the egd and found out I had H. Pylori so that had to cleared up. I did a two night sleep study. My pcp kept screwing up filling out the supervised diet form. Lastly, I was called a day before surgery and told that my date was changed from 5/14 to 5/15. Don't give up. Like other folks said, the time will fly by. You have to make sure you are mentally and physically prepared for this. -
Things At Home ..

I deal with this by getting out of the house if I can. I'll go window shopping, take the dog for a long walk (she is a little fatty fat too) or go to the library. If I'm stuck in the house, I'll do laundry, something crafty (crochet, embroidery), play video games (exercise on the Wii or Harry Potter Lego) or talk on the phone in order to take my mind off of food. One day when I had a case of the eats,I sorted through my old wardrobe organizing it to prepare to get back into it. I'm three weeks out on Tuesday, June 5, so I know what you are feeling. -
I have five including my drain line. One to below my right breast, mid right side of stomach, center six inches above navel, left side of stomach, far left jp drain incision. Feeling a bit tired and trying to stay hydrated. Damn I'm full.

I can finally keep liquids down. Yes ladies the warm liquids feel better than cold ones. I'm being discharged this evening. I feel alright. My JP drain is out and the terrible nausea and gas are almost gone. I'm thankful for everyones kind words and encouragement.

I spoke to the doctors and I'm staying another night. I have been moving around trying to get this horrible gas out. The incision points hurt too. I am trying to eat the clear liquids but it's hard keeping them down. Thanks for all the well wishes.

I was sleeved on May 15. I'm still in the hospital. I am having a very rough time. I have tons of gas and nausea. I have been vomiting since Tuesday going into Wednesday. I cried a few times wondering if this was the right choice. I feel awful and hope all the negatives will go away.

I am scheduled to be sleeved on May 14, 2012. I was called by United HealthCare today with my approval . I am so excited and nervous too. Good luck to everyone waiting for approval. -

Britches! LOL I haven't heard that since my Grandmother was alive. Those reverse fit jeans look like the old school mom jeans. I think LL Bean has a style like that. -

Try a brand called PZI. They are designed for curvy women. A friend of mine has a 26 waist with 36 hips and a boom pow booty and swears by them.
