Hello everyone. Hope you are doing doing great. I am doing ok but I am definately TOO tight from my fill a couple of days ago. I am calling the office in a few minutes when they open up and trying to get in for a slight UNfill. It doesn't hurt or anything but I have reflux terribel and I was told by the PA that can cause dilation of the esophagus or other problems if the band is too tight for to long and could result in me losing my band so I am going to get it taken care of right away. When I would bend over yesterday the fluids that I would be drinking would just come out like pouring water or something from a glass. Then as the day went on even while sitting it would happen a little. It was not painful or anything thank GOD but I want to get it taken care of. My throat feels really thick.:omg:

Look on the back of the bugg and the version 2 will have a V2.

OnMyWay07;584254]Hi Ruby! Thanks for answering all of my questions. I may have to consult with my doctor about my port, I was just curious if anyone else might have experienced something similar. When I mentioned fasting on the day of my fill, I mean with clear liquids only. No food or even full liquids. I am sure that is what they told me. I even called on the day of my first fill to verify. They said nothing but clear liquids. I know what you mean about not wanting to get discouraged looking at the before pics yet. I tried to take progress pictures 6 weeks post op, but I forgot that nearly 10 pounds of my weight loss had happened prior to my "before" pics, taken the week of my surgery. I had lost 10 during my pre-op diet. So when I thought I was comparing pictures after a 20lb. loss, I was really only seeing pics covering a 10 lb. loss and it was EXTREMELY disheartening. Once I realized my mistake, I felt better. But either way, I realized I need to wait until my weight loss is more significant before doing another set of progress pics! Thanks again for your post! onmyway- I just had another fill today and I asked my doc about pain that I get every now and then in my port sight. It is not a constant but sometimes just a zing of pain and she told me that was normal. She said the port is sewn into our abdominal wall and if we twist alot or bend alot at the waist, or even wear jeans that hit right there it can cause discomfort. I was pretty worried too but now I am ok with it. Besides she does my fills in fluro so she seen my band today and everything was ok. The day of my fills I can not eat 4 hours before the fill or drink anything 2 hours before my fill and once the fill is done I am on clear liquids the rest of the day and the next day and then 2 days of mushies and then move to normal as tolerated. auntie phyl- congrats on the lost inches. I hate it when the scale doesn't move also. Then I have to remind myself that the scale is not the only way I can measure success. Chim- how was your fill? Do you have good restriction? So glad to hear you are over the infections!

MY GOSH I MISS YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Life has been so hectic lately. LOl Seems I don't have time for anything. I have lots to catch up on but I cheated and read just this page and I want to congratulate you all. You are all doing wonderful with weight loss!!!! Dini, hey girl, what a wonderful surprise to come on and see you had posted. Miss seeing you.................HECK I MISS ALL OF YOU!!! The body bugg and I are wonderful friends now. I don't go no place without it. (Except the shower because it is not water proof) I wear it at ALL other times. I burn about 700 calories sleeping at night. LOL I got another fill today. Number 4. Seems like a whole lot to me but the doc told me that is because I had lots of fat on the inside around my stomach and that is shrinking so my band is loosening. I am still really hoping to be at my mini goal of 210 by Halloween. I am at 221 now so I have 11 more pounds to go. I have been on a platea losing 2-3 lbs and then regaining them for about 2 weeks now so I am hoping the new fill will get me off this platea. I better get. I need to go watch private practice. I admit I am a tv junky at night during the fall and winter. I have most of my shows tivo'ed so that I can fast forward through the comercials. I am like clock work though from the beginning of the seasons to the end of the seasons on my favorite shows. I promise I will read ALL the posts that I missed and catch up on everyone's news. G-nite all!!!

I forget to tell you all though you have to buy it online through their website and it is the version 2 bugg that they sell so the display works with them.
-
I bought my body bugg from 24 hour fitness and it cost me $349 dollars plus another $50 off so the bugg cost me with shipping $315.?? Then I went back and bought the display and that was $99.00 minus $25.00 plus the shipping and my display for my bugg cost me $90.and some change. That was shipping inclided on both. I would shop 24 hour fitness. They have the best deals and you get everything you get from apex. The 2 free sessions and the 3 months free. I saved alot with them. Jsut thought I would let everyone know that. I posted this info when I first bought it but wanted new comers to this thread to see it also. I love my bugg and I too am losing pretty steady as long as I watch my calories burned and know that I have a deficite. Heck I find that I go over on my calories burned a day just because I can see at all times where I am at and I find myself up moving around more just to see it move. :whoo:
-
auntie phyl- CONGRATS to you!!! You are doing great!! Even hungry and surrounded by temptation you chose the healthy food. That is a wonderful NSV!!!!!! :clap2::clap2:
-
Sunny- I am sooo sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. The golf ball pain has to be awful enough and then a sinus infectin?!?! UUGGGHHHH How long have you had your fill? Did it get tighter over time and now you think your maybe too tight? I was just wondering. I certainly hope you start feeling better. Good luck and please keep us posted.
-
Janet- according to my bugg the past 2 days I have burnt 2874 calories on one day and 2189 on the other. Both days were pretty much the same activity wise but the higher day I walked longer and more vigorously. I really like it so far. The bugg doesn't count the calories in the food you consume. You have to go on the body bugg site and log your foods like spark people. I don't mind that this far. I have had to add in a few of the foods that I have eaten because they didn't have them. No big deal. The only thing I don't like is the band that straps it on. I have to get it just so or it irritates my arm. I think I am just sensitive to the fabric on the one side of the strap. Other than that I love it. I don't even notice it and neither has anyone else because I wear it under my shirt sleeve. You can wear this at all times EXCEPT if you are in water. It is not water proof. I wore it to bed last night because I wanted to see how many calories we burn while sleeping. LOL I haven't down loaded it yet this morning. Anyone watch the BIGGEST LOSER this week? I TiVo it and just got a chance to watch it last night. I would really like to see their results on their body buggs with the vigorous workouts they do every day for 4-5 hours. I know theirs in no way would compare with mine because that is what they do all day right now. I would die if I worked out 4-5 hours. :faint:
-
chim- congrats on the fill!!! How did the whole experience rate compared to others? Did you have any pain? Are yours under fluro? lindaa-awwwwwww!!! We love being your virutual family. I love this thread and miss all the posts that used to happen too. I am sure others will check in when they can. I miss them all too. frustrated- congrats on the good numbers with your blood work!! Isn't it wonderful to know we are improving our health!?!?!?! Keep up the great work! my body bugg...............this thing is freakin amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love this thing. I have actually below what I should be eating compared to what I am burning. I have finally at this point hit a 'sweet spot' I think. I just don't get hungry this past week and I am actually REMINDING myself to eat. LOL I am not uncomfortable with the fill and have had no problems yet. KNOCK ON WOOD!!!!!! I feel great!! This band is working!!!!!!!!!!!! Now with the bug I am loving being banded on my arm and my stomach. LOL I love down loading my bugg and seeing the calories I burned. At this point so far, even though it has only been 2 days, I have to say I think I am really going to love being bugged as well as banded!!!!! :whoo:
-
unruhlyhd- I do drink the adult tylenol. I just hate he taste of ALL medicine. I am one of those people that NEVER took cough syrup no matter how bad it was. I thought I was in heaven when they invented the NyQuil liquid gel caps. Got a cold I'd pop those no problem......until now. LOL That is ok I can deal with the liquids for my band. Wouldn't trade it in for nothin'
-
I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :faint: I JUST DID MY TICKER JUST TO SEE BECAUSE AS I SAID EARLIER I THOUGHT I HAD TO LOSE A COUPLE MORE POUNDS BEFORE I WOULD BE UNDER THE MORBIDLY OBESE MARK. I am officially not morbidly obese anymore!!!! :bounce:The band really is working for my or shall I say with me. I am so excited!!!! I screamed and had to tell my whole family. Well I gotta go. Going to give my mom a call and tell you.
-
Caz- First off I want to congratulate you on your weight loss!!!!! You doing awsome!!! So sorry to hear of your PB. I so far.............KNOCK ON WOOD REALY REALLY HARD!!!.....LOL.........have not felt that. I know every bandster goes through this and it is just life being banded but it scares the hell out of me. I have set a mini goal for Halloween. I want to be at 210 by then. I have 15 more to go in 4 and 1/2 weeks. I think I should be ok as long as I really buggle down and rev up the exercise. I think it is time to rev that up some anyway. Getting to comfy while walking. I have noticed though that since I have been doing exercise and treadmill that it is now taking longer to get my heart rate up. The trainer at the Y told me that was normal. He told me that the healthier people get the harder it is to get their heart rate up to burn more calories. I am thinking........OK.......so in a nutshell........the exercising that I am doing that was about KILLING ME in the beginning is just not enough now since my body has adjusted to it and I am trudging long not getting the maximum out of it so now I need to rev it up a couple more notches.......enough that I will feel like I am dying at it again. UUUUGGGHHHH. LOL I will feel like I am starting all over. LOL Oh well I guess we gotta do what we gotta do. I am wanting to start water aerobics sometime in October anyway. I am ready. We really need an exercise challenge on here. I think it would keep me motivated. I really respond to 'task' charts or schedules. LOL

Chim- good luck tomorrow with your first fill. Also I have to thank you because I first heard about these body buggs from you. After I seen a post, way back when, that you had done about the body bugg I started to research it. Asked my doctor about it and joined a couple of threads on here about the body bugg. I am TOTALLY excited about this. I will get it tomorrow afternoon and will have it running by tomorrow night. LOL I am even holding off on my daily walk, bike ride, and nautilus machines until tomorrow after I get this. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!! I will keep you posted. I was very hesitant about getting it now also but honestly my family really were encouraging about it. Still feel very guilty because I spent that money on myself. This is what they are giving me for Christmas but it came early. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. The last couple of days the lower part of my stomach, about 3 inches below my port site, has been aching. It is not a constant ache or really painful but an annoying ache. My port it right next to my belly button. I don't know if maybe it is from the doc/PA manipulating around there last Thursday when I had my fill or maybe because I had 3 fills with in 3 weeks? I am not sure. I do have a small bruise where I was poked for the fill last week. That is the first time that happened. When she was doing my fill last week she said that she had a little trouble getting in (the port I assume) and asked if I had had problems with that the 2 previous times because she didn't remember having any problems. I said she had no problem the previous 2 times. I am just asking because being the worrier that I am I keep thinking maybe my port is starting to flip? I don't really know why it would happen now though because it should be all healed into place by now shouldn't it? Just wondering what you all think. It could just be something with Aunt Flo as well since she just left the day after this started. I will see how it is tomorrow and if its not any better I will call the doc just for reassurance.

Hey everyone!! Hope you are all doing great. SOunds like there are quite a few NSV. Congrats!!! Doesn't it feel great to move on to SMALLER clothes and exspecially when they are clothes you couldn't fit before!!!!!!! I dont care much for shopping for clothes because I don't like a lot of the new styles but I love being able to drag out a 'new' box of my 'someday I hope to fit into these' clothes. I have a question. I can't remember who mentioned the medication but my question is this. I was told to crush my pills and take them in apple sauce or something and if I can get something in liquid to do that. Does anyone else do this? Just wondered. I am afraid of getting a pill stuck if I try to just take them so I will continue to crush even though that is one taste I will NEVER get used to. LOL The NSAIDS (ibuprofen, advil and etc.) I too was told absolutely NO NSAIDS. I was told tylenol and things with no ibuprofen in them. I was also told that they do not know for SURE but that there was a possibility of it being linked to erosion with the band.

I never used fit day or spark people. I started on spark people one day and then never went back. My hope is that will be good in a sense for me because I never got used to a different program. I am sooooo excited because my bug will be here tomorrow. A couple of my friends just don't get it because I am so excited. One told me you are losing weight so what do you need that for. I told her I want to optimize my band and this way I can really see what I am actually burning a day............ALL DAY LONG...........to compare with what is going in. They don't understand. Oh well.........I am excited!!!

Peaches- I this will keep track of the caories that I am BURNING. That will let me know for sure that I am burning more than I eat. I have been reading posts on here in the body bugg post from people banded that use this and they just love it and swear by it. I know the band provides restriction I just wanted this extra boost to keep me in check. I want to see the amount of calories I am burning throughout the day. This goes on morning to night so it will give me a total burned number. Buy the way anyone that is interested the body bugg at 24 hour fitness is the version 2 so you have the option of adding the watch later. Just wanted to let others know.

I AM GETTING MY BODY BUGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 I have to come share my new news. LOL I have been talking to my family about this body bugg. How I really would like it, maybe someday, and yada yada yada and tonight my Dh and DD said 'why don't you get it?" I said I don't want to spend money like that on myself. And DD said 'why not you spent it on what we want.' Then DH pipes up and says 'really in the over 4 years we have been together how many times have you really bought yourself something you really wanted.? I said well I bought my Ipod a year and a half ago. And they both laughed and said 'yeah and when you received it you were going to send it back because it was "too much money for something I prob wont use. I don't need something like that for myself'" I had it on the counter and was not opening it because I was sending it back and my daughter said 'I am going to open it so you have to keep it.' I told her 'don't you dare I want to send it back. I don't even really want it' (I really did but told them that) Anyway my daughter wouldn't open it so my hubby got up and got it from her and he opened it and said 'now you have your ipod that you have been wanting for so long." I said 'you didn't have to do that I could have gone without it' and his statement back was 'you need to give a little to yourself once in a while.' So needless to say I was very happy with it and I use it ALL the time. LOL Sorry got off track there. The point is I NEVER buy MYSELF things that I really want. So anyway, tonight my daughter starts talking about the body bugg at supper. Asking questions and stuff and made the comment that maybe if I was good santa would bring it for me. I said santa does not need to bring me a body bug because my santas need to save their money. (talking about my kids. My daughter is 16 and working 2 jobs and loves to try to buy things for me all the time and I keep telling her save your money or spend it on yourself.) Anyway.....my DH pipes in then and says your right santa don't need to bring it kids we are. We are ordering it tonight for your mom. She deserves it. I said no Danny just forget it. He said "you don't want it now because it is something for you and we are not supposed to spend the money on you. You spend money on all of us all the time for things we don't want and a lot that we never asked for but you get things for us because you know that we will like them. So now it is our turn. Let us do something for you. " I didn't say anything because none of them knew where to buy it from so I figured it would blow over. After supper DD came in my room with her laptop and said what is the website. I told her lets just forget it. Then DH came in and they told me if I didn't tell them where to get it they would find a site that sells them themselves. I gave in because I didn't want them to get ripped off. My bodybugg is bought and paid for!!!!!!!! I really am getting one. In one sense I am sooooo excited and over joyed but also feeling very guilty because they spent that much on me. I told them that is the end of my Christmas gifts and my daughter said no you will need another subscription by then. LOL OH I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE PEOPLE!!! By the way, I know a couple of others of you on here were talking about maybe getting one so I just wanted to share that we got mine at 24hourfitness and the orinal price on all sites was $399 but on there it was $349 and then if you enter the promotional code BLC24 you will get an additional $50 off. Mine cost $314.?? total and that was with the $15.?? for shipping and everything. I wanted mine fast so I did the 2 day air shipping to have it by Thursday or Friday that is why shipping was so much otherwise standard shipping was $6.?? We saved a $100 dollars by buying from this site. I called and talked to them and they said yes this comes with everything you will get through bodybugg.com or appexfitness.com and you can save $100. The web thing said this sale won't last long. Just an FYI if anyone is still interested.

Hello all my fellow bandsters!!! I am just checking in for the night. I wanted to tell everyone congrats on all of your weight loss. We are all doing very very well. I had another NSV last night and I needed to share it with you all because you will understand and my DH just looks at me like I was nuts. LOL Last night we went to the movie Hair Spray. (Excellent show by the way!!!) Anyway in the past when we have gone I have been so uncomfortable because of my size in the chairs and the person next to me, my DH or one of my kids, had to be uncomforatble as well because I always put my arms out on the chair arms to try to be more comfy and in the theatre that means taking their chair arms. I always felt like I was 'spilling over' into their seats. Last night when we went I was really excited but also nervous at the same time because of the past experiences. We went in and sat down and guess what................I HAD LOTS AND LOTS OF ROOM!!!!!!!!!!! I wasn't spilling into anyone elses seat and I could set cross legged while watching the movie. I COULDN'T believe it!!! :faint: I said something to my daughter and she smiled and said that is good and then I said something to my DH and he said 'we were never uncomfortable setting next to you." and looked at me like he had no idea what I was talking about. Maybe he didn't and it was just me self consciously feeling that way. Whatever it was then I don't care because I CAN FIT FINE AND HAVE LOTS OF ROOM IN A MOVIE SEAT!!!! LOL

Hello everyone!!! I just caught up on the posts and thought I would stop by and say hi. I have been looking at Halloween costumes for the DH and myself for a costume party we are invited to. We always get invited and I never dress up. Was always afraid that I wouldn't fit in to a costume. Anyway, I jsut ordered both of our costumes and get this...........I am really worried that the one that I bought will be TOO BIG!!!!!!!! LOL I bought the bigger size just to be sure but DH says what if its to big? I contacted the lady and she told me she would gladly exchange it for a smaller one for me. We are going as Raggedy Ann and Andy. My kids are going also but I jsut can't get them talked into being Raggedy Ann's cat and Andy's dog. LOL I can see why they wouldn't want to be the pets. I just thought the whole idea would have been cute for all 4 of us to go as one theme. Now I am off to look for costumes for them. I can't believe how excited I am about this this year. Everyone sounds like the are doing wonderful. Congrats ladies and keep up the great work. I will try to check back later. Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!

What my doctor told me was that when we lay down after a while our organs swell some at night. I myself have felt this. It tastes me a while in the morning to drink a whole protein shake but as the day goes on I can eat and drink faster and more than in the am. Everyone is different but this seems to be pretty common with the band. I have read this several times on here and a couple of other sites. Different things can cause your band to feel tighter one day than the next. Stress is one example I can think of off the top of my head and right now I can tell you for me (I have read of others as well) 'aunt flo' is causing more tightness. When I had my fill Thursday the PA told me that this might happen. I am not too tight but I can tell a difference today from yesterday. My hands and feet are more swollen today to so I know it is from 'the unwanted guest'. LOL
-
only- yeah that is what his PA told me. She did say that sometimes you will feel tighter after a fill because stress, aunt flo, Water retention and a few other things but the 'effects' of the fill itself do not happen 2 weeks after we receive it. That is why she wasn't worried about being so agressive with my fills. (I have had one a week for the past 3 weeks) I was really owrried about the past fills becoming tighter and then she did another fill yesterday and I just didn't know if I was going to have them do it because of others feeling restriction 2 weeks after the fill. So many doctors and so many different opinions!!!! LOL I know that even this past week a couple of days I could tell that I was tighter than the day before when I was eating and the amount was different also.
-
Your band is tighter in the am than at night so it just makes sense that as the day goes on your band loosens up and you feel less restriction. Well I had my 3rd fill today. As you may or may not have read in my reply up a little ways that I was really worried about getting this 3rd fill. She added .8cc so I am at a total of 7.8cc in my 10cc band. I have really good restriction now. She told me I was doing great on the lose and that I don't have to come back for 4 weeks unless I need a fill or have problems. I asked if this is normal to have so many fills and she told me that not only do we have fat on the outside but also on the iside and as we lose the fat inside around our stomach our bands loosen up and that is why we need adjustments. This we all knew. LOL I was just really nervous about the fill because I was so afraid of tightening up too much in a week but she told me that I should be fine but if there are any problems just to give them a call. I feel really good though. I did tell her aunt flo was coming next week and she did say that my band may tighten up some during that time and as long as I am able to get my liquids down during that time if not food I will be ok but she doesn't see that being a problem. We will see though as I usually swell up and really retain Fluid during her visit. UUUGGGGHHHH. I am hoping this one has done the trick for a while. The docs PA told me they just don't want me to feel hungry. She said I will have hunger but it should never be like it was pre banding and that is what they are trying to help get rid of with the fills. I too am upset with the scales. They seem to be stuck for this past week and I am doing all my exercising and counting. Don't fret ladies, we will be moving along soon again. :waytogo: Everyone that I didn't mention or reply to hope you are doing great!!!!!! I love reading everyone's posts. Take care!!!
