Hey you guys! I just got back down the road from my 1st nutrition appt. It was fun. We got goodie bags w/samples of different products, brochures (ex. Lauren's Hope), etc. It was a good class. It was 2 hours long, but pretty painless. It was so funny b/c I knew everything we talked about, thanks to this site! To be honest, I felt like I could've taught the class! LOL. I love LBT! I know this site is one of the main reasons I feel so confident about my surgery. How silly of me to forget myself on the calendar?!?! :confused: Yep. It was all Lynette's fault. I just ordered my Medic Alert bracelet. I got it from Lauren's Hope - Lauren's Hope - Medical ID Bracelets, Medical ID Watches, Mothers Bracelets, and 14k Gold Bracelets At first, I didn't think I needed one, but I will feel so much better knowing that I have it on. This is what I had engraved on it: Name Gastric Band Patient No Blind NG Tube No NSAIDs Just s'thing else you may want to think about. There's a thread out there somewhere about this.

Lynette, I wish you the best during this weekend. It's awesome what you're doing for the ACS. My mom is a breast cancer survivor and my sister is a colon cancer survivor. Eventually, I would love to run in one of the breast cancer marathons! Dini, loved your pics, especially the babies. They are so cute. I loooovvve babies. Don't have any of my own, yet, though. Don't have a husband, yet, so when that happens, then the kids will come, too. (The lack of a significant other is a whole other thread!) All, I had an appt today w/my primary doc. It went well. My surgeon just wanted me to get medical clearance from him, so this appt was painless. B/W now and the 25th, I believe I have 6 more appts, including my nutrition classes. I'm sure this will help the time fly by fast. Also, this may be TMI, but I'm gonna share it anyhow. LOL. Well, I have manipulated my cycle so that I will not be on it during my surgery. I wear the patch (Ortho-Evra) and if I continued to follow my current schedule, Aunt Flo would've showed up around surgery time. :angry No way. So...I did what I had to do and I will be Aunt Flo-free come the week of surgery. YAY!

No, just all the pre-op stuff...you know upper GI, EKG, pulmonary functioning, and blood work... Thanks for the tip on the water and veins. I will DEFINITELY remember that for the next go 'round!

I had my appt today and it was a piece of cake...except the lady couldn't get any blood from my arteries! I got poked twice and nothing. Oh well, right? I will have a follow-up appt in about a week. I hope everyone is doing well. I've got a bit of catching up to do w/our thread. We've got a lot of activity going on. Gotta love it!:high5:

Hello everyone. Welcome to all our new fellow Lucky 7'ers. Once again, feeling totally worn out from the day and have another big day tomorrow. I have my appt for my pulmonary function test and my arterial blood gases (which I know if gonna hurt!). Then I have another appt on Thurs w/my primary doc. Goodness. I feel like I'm in a whirlwind! I will be back tomorrow to let you know how my appt went. Sorry I haven't been as social lately. Just feeling kinda down :think...it's a combo b/w the depression and PMS... Gnite, gang.

Same for me. This happened at home earlier today, and it just happened here at work.

I was wondering what your diet was gon look like. My doc doesn't require one, but I'd like to follow one anyway, just to get a jump on the wt loss and try to shrink my liver. Let us know what the rest of your diet looks like.
