Hey gang, I've put together a PowerPoint presentation just for myself, ...you know to kinda keep myself inspired. I thought some of you may benefit from it, too. Unfortunately, we can't upload PowerPoint files. If you want a copy, just send me your email address and I'll send it your way. Just PM me (click my on my name and then select Send Private Message). It just keeps me excited about this journey! Cherea

Hey ya'll! Here's our most recent calendar. Please let me know if there are any corrections that need to be made. For the following folks, I don't have your dates, so can you let me know if you have one, yet? I've gone through our posts, but may have easily missed it. Cherryblossom, Janiee, Delia, TexGal, MamaLaywer, Ribearty, Only4Me (7/30?), and Tulips... Just let me know. July 2007 Bandsters.doc

Hey Lucky 7s! I am updating the calendar right now...so stay tuned. Mango, no I didn't have to get tested for H-pylori. I'm just really ticked about this infection. I have to go in tomorrow...they couldn't get me in today and I didn't have the time to go to our UrgentCare center. I know I would've been sitting there for hours. Be back shortly!

Kathybad, it's another band that tracks your calories in vs. calories out. You wear it around your arm. It's s'posed to work great. I read about it here on LBT...here's the thread : http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f81/bodybugg-users-report-here-36232/ Here's the website, too: BODYBUGG :: HOW IT WORKS It's a little pricey upfront, but seems like it's worth it. Many of the really successful folks here on LBT have used this thingy...and I want one so bad, but can't afford it right now. Not until all this pre-op stuff is done (and I get my $$ back from my insurance company).

They should be able to. It's a stupid UTI/bladder infection. I woulda thought the last round of antibiotics would've done it, but nope. It's hanging around. It HAS to go. I will KILL someone if my surgery is delayed!!!:angry:angry:angry *do ya sense my anger w/this???* LOL!!!

To all who are on deck for tomorrow--Dakota, james2539, forgv70x7, dmtjet, tinkerbell, bun1, jdhj861jr, cantweight, and appleblossom, we wish you the best. We will be thinking of you and praying for you! To everyone else, hello and I hope all is well! Just so you know, I really think I do have an infection. I'm a bit ticked by that b/c I have to get rid of it before the surgery. I was on antibiotics before for this exact infection, but it obviously didn't get rid of it...so to the doc tomorrow for this. It has certainly worn me down and I exhaust easily. I am so glad, though, to see all of the posting and activity. Welcome to all the new folks here! Things I'm thankful for: My faith (the Lord has certainly blessed me), my family (they are awesome), and this board. I would've never thought I could get so much inspiration and encouragement online.

Hey Lynette! I'm here. Just catching up.

I'm gonna head to bed now. I have been getting exhausted very easily lately. I'm scared I may have a UTI/bladder infection. I had one a couple weeks ago, got extremely sick and dehydrated. I took the antibiotics (just like the doc said), but I don't think it completely went away. I'm freaking b/c I don't want this to hang around and be here come surgery time. Sorry I haven't been very social! Welcome to all our new friends! I will update the calendar this weekend. To all of our newly banded Lucky 7s, congrats. Bobbert's Mom, I'm sorry you're in pain. Mommiranda and Wagnerd, we're glad you're up and about. All who have been banded, please keep us posted. We're all living vicariously through your experiences!!! Till next time gang. :notagree

Wow! This looks so fun!!! Maybe once I get down a little, I can become an instructor here in my town...I'm gonna attend one close to me and see what it's all about. -
Go putz, go putz...it's your birthday, it's your birthday! Congratulations on your accomplishment!

Latin Impact classes...what are these? Aerobics to Latin music? Sounds interesting. -
That is so wonderful. Personal attention like that is certainly rare these days! For your list, don't forget a small pillow for the car ride home (to protect you from the seatbelt).

Hey Ms. Lynette! I am doing okay. Just trying to stay awake here at work. :bored I'm glad you ordered your bracelet. I think it will put you at peace of mind. I wanted to get one, too that I could wear all the time...but I have an allergy and can only wear 18K gold! Do you know how expensive my bracelet was going to be? I called a local jeweler and it was gonna be 2K!!! I don't think so...so, I went w/Lauren's Hope. I had to be careful and get one that had a lot of beading b/c the gold/silver would've broken me out. This allergy is a real pain sometimes. I even have to cover the little button on my blue jeans, or else I'll get a rash!!!

I am a telephone operator on a Naval military base. Friday's are pretty slow. I was in a long-term relationship, 11 almost 12 years, but he didn't want to get his act together, so I had to end it. It was a very co-dependent relationship. Not good. That was almost 5 years ago. So I've been riding solo since then. I've had a couple of friends along the way, but nothing serious. :cry I've been busy living my life--recently bought my 2nd house (it's a brand new condo and I love it!), but I'm tired of doing it alone. I feel like the time is now to get involved. I'm just having a hard time finding decent, worthy guys. All of them usually want one thing. I'm not on that kinda program. I just had to cut my last friend off. He did s'thing last weekend that absolutely offended me and disgusted me. I haven't talk to him since. He hasn't even bothered to ask me if I'm okay. Just more proof that he's not even worth my time. Wow. Where did all of that come from???

Hey ya'll! How's it going? Hey Dini Bini! I'm doing okay. Sitting here at work right now, bored outta my mind and dreaming about going home. Anyhow, I am single right now and I hate it!!! I've been single for a few years now and it's starting to really get to me. But, w/my band, this will be the beginning of a great journey for me...who knows, maybe I'll meet Mr. Right along the way. We'll see.
-
LOL! That works for me. *note to self* 'Yeah, that's what I'm doing ...waiting to see if the novelty wears off...'
-
Congratulations!!! I know you are beyond thrilled. We are all so excited for you. :clap2:

My doc says remember the 30/30 rule. No drinking 30 mins before or 30 mins after. Just follow whatever your doc says.

I want one sooo bad...I just can't afford it right now w/all this pre-op stuff I've got going on. Once I get my claims back from my insurance, maybe I can put it towards my BB. Hmm...that's an idea. You guys are making me jealous.
-
Hello everyone! Just been catching up. Well, for the question of the day...what's my screen name mean. Well, my real name is Cherea (pronounced Sheree) and in school, some folks used to call me Chimboree, so tada. Sorry it's nothing really creative. Lol It was either that or Chipmunk...another school nickname b/c I have fat cheeks and they said I always looked like I had food stored in there. And the 26 is for my birthday - 10/26

Jealousy is an ugly thing. Fortunately, most of the people I've told have been very supportive of me. But, there are some that I purposely have not told for this very reason. They are already jealous of me and this will just kill them. It will be the icing on the cake. But you know what? Misery loves company. Of course the jealous ones aren't going to congratulate you or be sincerely interested...but don't think they're not watching. Oh, they can probably recite the Bandster rules better than you can. Anyhow, don't be surprised at the many pairs of green eyes that will be focused on you...especially since this is a tool that actually works when we use it properly. *singing* "Let's give 'em somethin to talk about... a little mystery to figure out...":D

Yes m'am. Forgve70x7, Here it is: I ordered a bracelet from Lauren's Hope and I just got it yesterday. It is so beautiful and I LOVE it. On mine, this is what I put: Name Gastric Band Patient No Blind NG Tube No NSAIDs Again, I love it. MarcyinAK, the NSAIDs are s'posed to cause ulcers which for us bandsters is bad b/c it can cause erosion.

But I'm not sure if he is legit...he just gave us a doc's name/info...the jury is still out.
