Me, too. It's only happened for me when I 'eat' too much. I have it right now. I am so tired now from the day. I just got back here to my parents. I think I took in too much Muscle Milk. Whoops. I'll get it together. I think I'm gonna go lay down b/c I'm tired now. May take a little pain medicine and call it a wrap for the night. Sunny, glad you're back and doing well!

Aza, congrats on your date! Welcome to our group. This is an awesome group, so feel free to get comfy and jump in. Hey gang. I have been one busy bee. I won't stay still. I've been out and about w/my dad, visiting family. What's up w/that??? I just can't stay still. I've had some Muscle Milk and Water for Breakfast, and cream of broccoli for lunch. I'm still trying to figure out this full/satisfied thing. With time, I'm sure I'll get it. I've been drinking since I woke up. It may be hard for me to get in all the necessary water. I feel so full after a few sips. For dinner, I'll probably have a bit more cream of broccoli Soup. I'm starting to feel a little gassy. Maybe TMI, but I went #2 the day after surgery. Of course, liquids in, liquids out, but I went. I went again today, too. I'm still staying at my parents b/c I just feel more comfortable right now being here. I hope everyone's doing well. I will be back later to check in w/ya'll.

Okay, I'm a little pissed right now. I was just talking to a friend of mine who, thus far, has been supportive. She said she was talking to her girlfriend (who's studying to be a nurse) told her "There's a lot of complications w/that thing". Okay, (1) Do you think I haven't done my research about this and am unaware of the complications? What did you expect my response to be??? "Oh really? I didn't know that. Shucks, I didn't even think about complications. I didn't factor that into my decision." I have researched this damn procedure for the longest and actually told my surgeon I've watched the video so much that I could probably assist him in his next surgery. (2) My surgery is in 2 freakin days. I don't want to hear this mess right now. I don't even want to talk to her anymore about this. I'm so damn mad right now. Excuse my French. (3) I'm sick of people who are uneducated about this process putting in their stupid 2 cents! I'm so sick of it. This is why I have been hesitant to tell anyone about this. I don't want them to ruin my journey into LapBand and I refuse to let them. You ain't raining on my parade. I will just enjoy this next day and be excited about my new life. There are so many people here on LBT that have been super successful w/this and I am focused on that. No, I'm not burying my head in the sand to those that have had complications, but they're to be expected. I've made an informed decision and that's that. Sorry for the rant!

Good morning! I am up and about, drinking my Protein shake and sipping Water. I'm still sore, but that's to be expected. No gas pain, no shoulder pain...woohoo! Stomach is bloated and tender. The hospital experience itself was great. All my nurses were good to me and took great care. I do have a busted blood vessel in my right eye. It's ugly. The nurse anesthetist thinks it may be from the change in blood pressure from anesthesia. I'm just s'posed to watch it to make sure it doesn't get bigger. I just wish it would go away. In the hospital, I was up walking around and doing my little breathing exercises (into that little plastic thing they give you). All the staff kept saying how well I looked and was doing. My doc wanted to discharge me sooner than 8pm last night, but he got called into emergency surgery. He ended up calling me on the phone b/c he was STILL in surgery. He apologized profusely, asked me how I was doing, looked at my x-rays and said all looked well. He asked if I was ready to go home. Hell yeah I was. Well, I'm about to go to the store to get my pain meds and Prevacid. I will be back on in a little while. I wish everyone who's going today, the best. You'll be fine!

Well, I thought I had created a journal already, but apparently not. I can't believe my surgery is only 5 days away!!!! This has been a long time coming, it seems. I remember starting to count down and it was 47 days away. I've done all of my pre-op stuff, except the sleep study. That is tomorrow night. I honestly don't think I need to do it. I think the doc just wants money. But oh well. I have to do it, so I will. I found what protein drinks I like the best--Muscle Milk and IsoPure. Both taste really good. I was surprised at the MM. I thought I had picked up s'thing wrong b/c it tasted so good. But my dietician, Brittany said it was the right stuff. Woohoo!!! I had the Mint Choc Chip kind and it was wonderful. My surgery is on Wed, 7/25 at Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge, VA. That is about 2 hrs away from me. I have to be at the hosp at 6am, so we'll have to leave around 4am. My dad will be driving me. I'm not sure if my mom is gonna come or not. Probably not. That's just how she is. I am so psyched for this and sooo ready. I have prepared myself mentally, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. I am ready to go. I have the Bandster rules down and know that this will go extremely well. I can't wait!!!

Hello you guys! I've missed you. I am at my parents' house right now, just to make sure e'thing is okay. I got discharged tonight around 8pm. My doc wanted to discharge me earlier, but got called into emergency surgery. I am doing really well. Of course, a bit sore, but other than that, I feel good. All the hospital staff said I was looking/doing good. Unfortunately, my parents' hi-speed internet is messed up, so I'm on dial-up right now. Eewww. Well, I'm exhausted from the ride home-about 2 hrs, so I'm gonna head to bed now. Just wanted to let ya'll know how I was doing. Gnite!

Very reassuring! Boy this joint is jumping tonight, huh?

That's so funny! You were on the runway...better yet, the catwalk...the boob thing used to happen to me before I had my reduction, so I can relate.

Wow, there are tons of people on tonight. Look down below...

Absolutely wonderful!!! What an awesome feeling, huh??? Congratulations. NSVs are the best!

You guys are so funny w/the hot doc stories!!!! Wish I could find a nice single one... Oh yeah, guess who showed up for tomorrow??? Aunt Flo! She was to s'posed to be here last week. I purposefully changed my birth control patch to make sure she wasn't here during surgery, but nooooo...oh well. It's all of your faults (except the men). You know how they say women who hang together get their cycles in sync??? Well so many of you had your Aunt Flow during surgery, so I couldn't help but follow suit. LOL!
-
Wow. This time tomorrow night, I will be a part of the Band!!! And then it's your turn.

Yay!!! I'm gonna party like it's my BANDDAY!!! LOL. I hear the 50 Cent song playing in the background! haha. I am too excited. Just talked to my mom and dad about what time to meet at my house to pick me up. :omg: Can we say butterflies???

Welcome BostonChic and Gingersnap! Congrats on your banding! How neat is that to have your friend alongside you. This is an awesome group. We're so glad you've joined us. Jump right in. Auntie Phyll, yes, I will be staying overnight, so I'll be home on Thursday. My hospital room has wireless internet, but I no longer have a laptop. Mango, yay!!! Glad you're back. Get some rest and talk to us when you're up to it. Marcy, - I can't believe it's here. Wow. It's here. The butterflies have started. BTW, I'm a side sleeper, but I won't be able to do that for a while b/c the port will be on the side I favor!
-
Don't say that! You're not an old broad! You are a beautiful woman w/just a few years, experience, and wisdom under your belt. I'm glad the pain hasn't been that bad. I have a very high tolerance for pain, so I'm praying I'll be okay w/this.
-
Jeanie and Auntie Phyll, thank you so much! It doesn't feel real. I'm sure after tomorrow it will feel plenty real w/the soreness, gas pain, etc. LOL. Hi Dini! How are ya?
-
I can't believe it!!!! Who's on deck for tomorrow???? Chimboree, Nelli, Stepht7's, NevadaSpirit, and BettyB Wow!!! I never thought I'd get to type that! Lynette, you are sooo right. I can't sit still. I am so excited and anxious. I get off work tonight at 11pm and I probably won't go to sleep. My dad and I have to leave here at 4:00am to get to the hospital at 6:00am. My surgery is at 8:00am. Oh my goodness! Tink, yes, this day has been super long! I have butterflies! But the good kind. Marcy, LOL! Glad you could 'fill in', huh? Hahahahaaaa!!!!

Glad to hear it! I love hearing how well everyone's doing. It just encourages me even more! I am just so thrilled. I will be getting banded tomorrow!!! (7/25) Woohoo!!!!

Great. Keep getting that water in and keep walking. That seems to be the key. Big Medicine is one of my favorite shows!!! You will like tonight's episode b/c there's a LapBand 'incident' on there.
-
I'm thinking b/c of the walking you did at the store, maybe that stirred up the gas??? I'm sorry this happened. I'm sure it was a bit scary, too. How much water/drink are you getting in?

Hey there Jeanie. We missed u today, or technically, yesterday.
