Lynette, yay! Congrats on doing your marathon. When is it? Only4Me, Hang in there. Just think, in 2 more hrs, you'll be able to go home, relax, and rest. You can do it! Caz, don't stress. Just get back up, brush yourself off, and keep it moving! It's all good!!!

You know, I don't even know what kind/size band I have. I will ask on my next post-op appt. Of course walking counts! My doc said for the first month, that's all I'm allowed to do. He said after that, then I can move to more strenuous activities/lifting stuff.

It's s'posed to be a healthy drink. Here's a link: Why XanGo® juice? One of my friends actually drinks it and really feels a difference - energy wise. I tasted it and it was good. Just not s'thing I'm willing to spend $$ on.

Hey Lynette, Peaches, Dini, Jackie, BREADLADY!!!!, Unruhlyhd, Jeanie, Only4Me, SSanka, and anyone else who I missed!!! How's it going today??? I'm doing well. Been exercising (walking at this point) and feeling great!

Dieka, I'm sorry! I know this is a tough place to be in. I remember the first night my hunger came back. I was ravenous!!!!! Just please try to stick to the plan. It's not for wt loss sake, but for healing sake. Your band has to actually 'set'. Right now, sutures are holding it in place. Eventually, those sutures will become adhesions that hold the band in place. These adhesions are important in preventing slips in the future. If you eat solids before time, it won't 'set' properly. Solids will cause the stomach to churn. We don't want churning at this point. Just please hang in there!!!! I know it's hard! We're here for you. ShannonRT It was great! I'm sure it will be back on. Just keep checking TLC. There was a LapBand patient! YAY!

Well gang. I'm heading home for the night. Gnite!!!
-
I know. That's what I've been telling myself. I have to start being mindful about my drinking/sipping. :nervous
-
EXACTLY!!! The past couple of days, I have actually done pretty well. I've been making it to the 3 hour mark, but usually at 2 hrs, my stomach is growling, audibly.
-
I hear ya! I'm starting to feel like that now. I can certainly drink a lot at one time w/o the pressure in my chest like before. I've been drinking more and more at one time. Sipping has gone by the wayside. Also, I haven't felt any discomfort from my mushies, either. I still have a ways to go before I can think about getting a fill.

I was just sitting here thinking...I hope I haven't offended anyone by posting that I'm doing this walk. I didn't do it intending to make anyone feel like they had to sponsor or donate! I am soooo not like that. I just started feeling funny about it. I really just wanted to let you guys know that I signed up to do it...and that I was excited about it. Okay...

Go Marcy, go Marcy! I just had a 30 min walk myself- on my lunchbreak. I feel great!
-
Isn't it such a relief to hear that s'thing you're experiencing is normal??? And as far as drinking too fast, I find myself now getting ahead of myself. At first, I was doing really well just sipping. I guess I'm getting too comfortable. Time for me to be mindful again.
-
Just wanted to say I signed up for this today. I'm so excited! For more info, check out this link: The Walk from Obesity See if there's a walk in your area!
-
Mon, 8/6 - 30 mins walking (This time it was a bit more 'strenuous' than yesterday's. I'm trying to step it.)
-
Nighty night, Lynette! Sooo, who else has heard of the Walk from Obesity??? The Walk from Obesity Do you know if there's one in your area?
-
Good! Yeah, it was a bit weird. Like I said before, there weren't 5 pages to catch up on!
-
Lynette, I'm doing much better on my mushys, now. I'm not sure what was going on there, but I was seriously starving for a while. It seemed I was super hungry about 2 hrs after eating. I just upped my liquid intake and that seems to be curbing some of the hunger for now. Thank the Lord!!! It is extremely muggy here (in MD). I was going to go out for a walk on my lunch break, but it is beyond uncomfortable. So, I'll probably end up walking the halls. I didn't get to go this morning...had to help my sister w/an errand. By the time we were done, the sun was blazing! I don't do well w/heat. Guess who just signed up for the Walk from Obesity??? I am so excited. I have to raise some $$. My initial goal is $100. I'm so psyched for this!

Forgve, I know it's beyond frustrating to see that scale on the upswing. But don't beat yourself up. It could be a combo of things causing this. Are you still getting in your protein? I understand this plays a huge role in our continued wt loss. So, if you can't get it all in from your food choices alone, consider adding a shake or 2 in a day. Or add some protein powder to your food. How 'bout your water intake? That also plays a huge role. Continue to keep working it out, girl! You are doing great. You seem to be doing all the right things. Just ride this wave out, okay?

Caz, I'm sorry! Do you have to take that other teacher's stuff? If not, pass it on to another teacher. If no one wants it, trash it! I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed. I'm a recovering pack rat! LOL. I have one bedroom that has stuff I've bought...and most of it is still in the original bags (Target, JCPenney, etc.)...I don't even know what's in there. I get so overwhelmed when I open the door! Dini Girl! Hey there! What's up w/all that restriction. Give yourself a couple days on liquids to see if some of the swelling goes down. If not, like you said, call your doc for a slight unfill. It'll get better!
-
ShannonRT, welcome to the Lucky 7's! What an awesome group this is. Get comfy and ask away. Hello Auntie Phyll! How are you doing????
-
Marcy, isn't it weird? There weren't 5 pages worth of reading to do! Lynette, awww...you're coworkers missed you! That sign was so neat! Sounds like you had an awesome day! Lauren, YESSSSSS!!!! Good for you! How's band life going for you?
-
Okay, really...I'm going to bed now. Gnite everyone! :notagree
-
Dini, what's happening??? I'm being so bad. I was s'posed to be getting off of here, but I can't stop reading and responding!!!
-
No need to be alarmed. I usually scramble 2 eggs (w/cheese), but I don't eat them all. After about 2-3 Tbsp, I feel satisfied, so I stop. I can almost eat a whole packet of Cream of Wheat, but stop just shy of finishing it all...again, b/c I feel satisfied, then I stop. I don't think you're stretching anything at all. You probably don't have as much restriction right now, so you can get more in. You're doing fine!
-
Yes, that does sound gross...and like a heartache waiting to happen, huh? I'll have to pass on that one. Sorry you missed out on the Boys. LOL!
