    First Major Stall

My NUT said same thing. She said if you ever stall don't make the mistake of eating less or excercising more-increase your protein! 50-60 keeps you stable but 90-95 is necessary to continue losing.

    Any 8/14 Sleevers?

I'm doing really well. It has gone much easier than I ever imagined. I'm down 32 pounds but been In a bit of a stall. Started reg foods yesterday. So far so good.
  3. How much have you lost, what are you eating?
  4. We were sleeved same day!! I too feel great. Have had no pain, no problems getting protein and fluids. While I "feel" like I can and want to eat normal, they were very clear-it's not due to pain. They don't want your baby stomach digesting. You want fluid to move right through without "churning". Because the staple and glue line is healing. The more your stomach twists and squeezes against food this early, the higher the likelihood of a leak. It's just 3-4 more weeks. Totally worth the wait. My nutritionist said if you must-chew food and spit it out. Don't work your baby stomach before its ready.

    Dr Frank Felts

I did not. It was found I was anemic and I'm sure you know he's doing no more surgeries. Had surgery 2 days ago and just came home. Doing pretty well. How about you?
  6. Saw the hematologist today after being told I have to cancel due to severe anemia. I am having lots of blood tests done. If they all come back normal and only show iron malabsorption deficiency then I will receive 3 iron iv infusions and if I'm normal by Wednesday I will be cleared for surgery on the 20th!!!! If bloodwork shows any abnormality Monday then the deal is off. Please pray everything comes back normal and I can finish this journey as planned and begin my new life healthy and well.

    Super Bummed....surgery Cancelled

Thank you all. As a nurse I understand the danger and reason. You just mentally get to a point where you are ready......saw my surgeon yesterday and had everything to go. I've accepted it just was not supposed to happen right now. But it WILL happen. Just not on MY timeline.....
  8. I have been on the liquid diet for 2 weeks!! Surgery was all set to go on the 20th. Had pre op labs yesterday as the final step. Call from my pcp....severely anemic. Have to cancel, see a hematologist, get blood normal then try to restart the process. Could be 3-4 months before starting over.
  9. And....gnc has them buy one get one 50% off and if you sign up for their card (15 for a year) you get an extra 20% off.
  10. Unjury unflavored mixes really easily and is tasteless is anything. I love rtd. Premier at Costco chocolate is good. Muscle milk has a vanilla latte with caffeine that is fabulous (you must like cinnamon). The banana and cream is excellent. Gnc just came out with their own line called lean muscle shake-THE BEST. And I've had them all!! Swiss chocolate is the best. Strawberries and cream and vanilla bean are delicious!!! The dollar store had sugar free yohoo strawberry and chocolate packets that you can mix into the vanilla as well and it is so tasty. I'm just hoping I still like them post surgery!!

    Day 1 Pre-Op

I'll have to try medifast. My sister had this surgery 4 yrs ago and says I have to find a protein I can drink. She liked syntha-6. I would kill for an egg!!! When you're hungry, you're grumpy for sure. I've only gotten down 3 shakes. I'm supposed to have 5 a day.

    Day 1 Pre-Op

I feel you. Started my liquid diet today. Sleeve is July 20. None of the protein shakes I've tried today I've liked > I'm in for 3 weeks. I've had sugar free jello twice and a sugar free Popsicle. Now I'm really starting to get hungry.
