I was just banded 04/20/2007, and was also nervous. But everyone was so supportive and it was over so fast. I'm VERY HAPPY I didn't let my nerves get the best of me. I was banded at Park Plaza hospital in Houston. They are noted for great anisthesioligists. Also, they have a whole floor for recovering bariatric patients, and I think every nurse there had been banded or had the gastric by-pass. They treat you like family. -
I've been banded a little over a week now. I am having some pain where the port is [on my left side]. The first few days I had major nausea. Anyway, I'm excited because I've already lost 8 pounds. Dr. Spivak and his staff are top notch
