I am also unable to customize my avatar. I don't have an option to browse/upload my own image, only to select from the standard ones. I have uploaded my image onto my profile, but not for my avatar which I would love to do... :cross-eye :cross-eyeI would also like to know how to change the little message under my name next to the avatar.

Just a query, Have your sizing systems changed to be the same as AUstralia? When I watch US tv sizes are ridiculous - 2, 4, 6 etc. You guys are all talking same or similar to me. I am 163cm or 5'4 and weigh about 208lbs and have for the first time in my life fit into an 18 top AND an 18 bottom on the same day!!If i tried on my 18's from target I could have really bought a 16 in pants anyway.

YAY! I have a whole list on my webpage but one that I forgot is to be able to fit into calf or knee length boots. I dream of scuba diving. I want to ride a horse one day, in fact it is one of my rewards - at 180lbs I am rewarding myself with a Jillaroo course - 5 days of riding, mustering crutching-all those fun things I would never have been able to do. I loved reading your goals you guys:)

Hi, My surgeon uses both, in Australia they are both readily available and have been for a number of years. I chose to have the swedish band for two reasons - one it is soft all over and I liked that as everything inside me is soft too, and two it holds more fluid. Hope this is of some help...

Re: Worried over Excess Skin.....
aussie_jode replied to DeeT38's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hi everyone, this is an interesting topic. I have those HUGE flabby arms, you know, the type that hangs over your elbow even before weightloss. In my search for a solution I found a personal webpage where building muscle is used instead of cutting off skin. Its very inspiring and she is very obliging if you want to email her. http://www.eradain.com/apoplexy/ cheers -
Any One Up For an Exercise Challenge?
aussie_jode replied to live2canoe's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Marie, I have 3 kids so far. A girl-41/2yrs, and 2 boys - 21/2yrs and 7 mths. Unfortunately they don't walk as fast as I like to. My daughter does come with me on evenings when I might walk with some of the locals here who aren't very fit. She really loves it, and even though its long and it is a struggle for her, she jumps at the chance every time. I try to get some of the indigenous women walking with me here as much as possible. i have a semi regular buddy and we gather different women every time we go. Its nice for them too. Diabetes is a big concern in this community and I feel I am contributing something when I can get even one other lady to walk with me. Deer would be nice to see! If we are lucky we see zebra finches, but usually we see goanna and brown snakes, plus lots of other little interesting reptiles...They all love the sun you know. -
Hi Cissylea, I'm new here too, but lovin it. Hope you do too!

Any One Up For an Exercise Challenge?
aussie_jode replied to live2canoe's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi guys can I join in? I was trying to walk every day, but found it difficult to find someone to mind the kids. My hubby has resigned from one of his jobs and is now home at a respectable hour, just so I can exercise! I want to walk my route (which is about 5km) at least 5 times a week. Tell me what else I need to do to get going in this challenge please... -

Scheduled next week w/ Dr. Rumbaut any advice?
aussie_jode replied to Kelly Ann's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Goodluck, and congratulations for taking this wonderous step! Jodie -
Thanks for the warm welcome. I really like the feel of this forum. I am kinda involved in some others but this one seems different - happier and friendlier. I hope it stays that way... I sure will be around a lot. I live really remotely in the Northern Territory of AUstralia. West of Alice Springs in the desert - 20 km from the Western Australian border. There isn't much in the way of people who understand the band, though the people I have talked to here are very supportive. Cheers Jodie
