Hey 2/9er here came home the next day, the first 2 days were uncomfortable but feeling much better. Been very easy to stick to my liquid diet. So good so far

I have been having mixed emotions, like you I have never had any surgery or been to a hospital but I think about my long term health and it becomes a no brainier again.

I am one week away from surgery, it's been a long journey to this point but I am anxious to get it done...is that weird? I have a 12 year old boy and an 8 month baby girl that I want to be here for, for a long time . Wish me luck

Hello All, I am sure you have seen this question many times but, I am going to ask. I am considering Gastric Sleeve Surgery and will be meeting with a doctor this week. I am 40 years old, I am 5'9" weight 302 and my BMI is 44.5. I also have high blood pressure and a history of diabetes and heart problems in my family. I have tried diet and exercise and I always fail, I have a very demanding career and have a really hard time getting to the gym. Family members tell me I shouldn't do but they know nothing about the great success so many people have had. I have a 9 year old son and want to be around for him for many years to come and I think this is my best shot...any advice for dealing with the skeptics ? Thanks, Chris
