I am noticing extra hair loss as well. I was sleeved 9/24. I am trying not to be overly paranoid but I swear my hair is thinner and I can see my scalp more. I was told the protein helps. Every doctor is different so I dont know what really helps.

Thanks for the tips. Did you have many stalls? I am almost 6 weeks out down 23 pounds and have been here for 2 weeks. What did you do to break the stalls if you had them??

Brown Baggin' It At Lunch--Need Help

Pinto beans (not refried) with cheese and salsa. I also steam veggies with parmesean and Mozz. cheese. 1 lean meatball with marinara sauce. I make pot pies for the family from scratch and take the insides about 1/4 cup. It has veggies and chicken.Plus all the other items that were mentioned.

NPM518- I DEFINITELY relate to this. I throw up all the time. The bottom line is I over eat still. I am still learning that I do not need to eat a whole plate to be full. the PP is correct. SMALL amounts and chew chew chew. I find when I take only a couple of tablespoons and savor that I have no problem. But when I eat fast and like I did before the surgery, I throw up. I also feel bulimic but I am trying to change the way I eat. Some things go down better than others. The more solid foods I eat, I tend to get sick. MOMOFTHINGAND2-Love your screen name. Thank you for the response, I am going to try to force the water in. I have been lacking in that department for sure.

    I Want Real Food!

LOL, I was so there not long ago. I seriously had to go for a walk. I walked away from the situation. 4 days does a lot of healing in that time. Just remember how you felt on day 1 and then day 4 after surgery. Just be strong, you will make it. You will be eating real food soon enough!!

MOMto 3 I soooo am right there with you. At this point I have been so hungry I eat whatever I can get down even if it is on my DO NOT EAT list. I hate the mental part of this whole thing too. I am soo over yogurt and cottage cheese. I do not exercise. I do not get all my water in and I do not get all my protein in.. I am totally failing this thing!! HELP!
  17. I would keep your job let some time go by till you are offered more vacation, do a damn good job and then do the surgery. The Dr will understand you need to postpone for a few months. IMO!

Ok...today I Jumped Off The Cliff!

Yes, yes, and yes! Sooo normal. I almost backed out myself. I have had a PE in my lung before so it was extra scary extra risky. I am 5 weeks out and I am so glad I did it. I just had to take that leap of faith and trust God and my surgeon. Down 23 pounds and already feel better. Before you know it you will be on the losers end!

    Complications?

HI! Sorry to hear you are having so much pain. I had a lot of incision pain as well and they were sunken in as well. I am close to 5 weeks post op and I that definitely has gone away. You may have a slight infection. I would not worry too much they will probably just give you antibiotics and it should clear up after that if thats what it is. Did they give you a binder? That was a lifesaver for me. Keep us posted let us know how it goes. Saying a prayer for you.

Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call

I think for me personally I worry that I will not do as well as everyone else. I think that maybe I will only lose very little and be the one to only lose 50% of my excess weight. That may be why I obsess on what I am losing and how fast. I am VERY thankful for the 23 pounds but need so much more off, it seems like I will never get there.

Tekara- I feel the same as you. For as much as I am eating, I feel like I should weigh 100lbs by now. I am down 23 and have stalled for the last 2 weeks. I keep thinking, "this cant seriously be all". I have had a few things I shouldnt, maybe my body is just clinging to the fat! Hope to at least lose 50 by Christmas.

    Help!

Thank you for all of your input. I am thinking it is just a learning curve and I need to redo the way I eat. Thanks!!

    Help!

Help me!!! Ok so it does not matter what I eat, I feel like I am going to throw up. I just started my soft diet on thursday of last week. So I can tolerate 1 teaspoon of chicken salad (pureed) OR 1/2 a string cheese and that is it. How the heck can I get my protein and calories in. I am pretty much throwing up after every meal. I try to go slow but it does not seem right I can eat so little. I AM hungry! I just can not seem to get it right. I hear about all this stuff you all are eating and I am like NO WAY! Honestly, this can be torture sometimes. I feel like I am gonna get a leak because it feels so tight in there. If I eat 2 teaspoons I am in TROUBLE. Should I go back to liquids??
