I am a week post op and I was paranoid too that I had a leak or gallbladder issues. I was still having an aching pain on my right side a few days after surgery. It kinda felt like I had hoola hooped for an hour; that's the only way that I could describe it. It would ache when I would yawn and if I moved a certain way. But what I found out was that during surgery, incisions are placed in the deep tissues and muscle to bring everything back together. So, I have been religious about getting my protein in, and the pain has subsided a great deal.

Next Week Sleevers ? Or Anyone Whom Are Upcoming April Sleevers?
Joyous replied to EnjoyingWhoIAmBecoming's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You know what, my husband bought me some body fortress protein shots last night. I tried one this morning and it tastes like liquid jello with a hint of whey. It's a whole lot easier to down versus a serving of whey protein powder which would take me all day. I have been trying to get in 60-80grams of protein and this really helps with healing and weight loss. I am one week post op and have loss a total of 14lbs! Couldn't be happier -

Yeah I have been trying a ton of soups, and liquids. I think that its not the cold so much as its the dairy in the soups, grits and etc. So, I think i'm gonna steer clear of dairy for a while. -

I am three days post op, and my surgery went really well. Still having gas pains and learned that cold fluids churns my stomach. Does anyone have any ideas for the full liquids phase? It's so weird how I'm not hungry at all, usually I would be grazing all day! So far I've lost 6lbs since my surgery. Oh and tried to drink protein today and gagged...any suggestion on protein drinks? -
I'm having surgery on 4/17 and I'm getting freaked out. All through this process I was really excited about having the surgery, and was ecstatic when I got approved. But as soon as I did the final blood test for the surgery, I'm like 'omg this is real'. It probably doesn't help to keep watching the actual procedure done on youtube. Did any of you feel this way? I've never had surgery before or anesthesia for that matter. To make matters worse, my mom is freaking out and being very negative (thank God my husband a good support). What was it like being in the operating room and the anesthesia? I'm trying to be positive, but I'm getting really scared...I definitely want this surgery! and will gladly drag myself in that operating room shaking and crying from nerves if I have to. Any encourage welcomed

Getting Sleeved Soon And Scared To Pieces
Joyous replied to Joyous's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thanks so much for the encouragement...I really needed it. I'm feeling a lot better about it today. It also helps knowing that so many people have had this surgery with few complications, and my doctor reassured me that he has done well over a hundred of these surgeries and the chance of dying from it is less than 1%. So, all I'm going to do now is pray....and stick to my pre op diet -

April 17th! And I am so freakin nervous...but excited. Just to make myself feel better, here is a list of things that induce my anxiety: anesthesia, not waking up, dying, and being naked in a room full of people. Anyone feeling this way? Or is that just normal to feel that way?
