What Brand Of Multivitamins?
Fitzy replied to skinnyjenn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am using Bariatric Advantage multi vitamins. I had a tough time with the orange ones (way too sweet), and switched to French Vanilla. The French Vanilla ones go down a lot easier. -
Hi Jamari, I wouldn't worry too much about the nuclear stress test. If your EKG is normal, they probably don't suspect anything, but just want to be thorough. In my case I had a blockage in one of my arteries, and ended up getting a stent. My EKG showed something wasn't right, and the nuclear stress test showed an area of reduced blood flow. You get an injection of the dye, go for a scan, do the treadmill, get another dye injection right at the end of the treadmill, and go for a second scan. They compare the scan at rest, and when pumping hard from the exercise. The good thing about the thorough work up is if you ever have any issues down the road they will know what your "normal" is for comparison. You will do great, don't sweat it. Best of luck!

2 Questions: Swelling And Actigall
Fitzy replied to karenq's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon doesn't give it to all of his patients, but before I undergo any surgery, I have to stop another med for at least a week. If I had to get my gallbladder out in an emergency I would be at a higher risk of bleeding. I don't know if it is 100% effective or not, but thought if was good idea. I would give you surgeon or primary care doctor a call and see if they will put you on it. The generic name for it is ursodiol. -
2 Questions: Swelling And Actigall

Hi Karen, The hospital pharmacist looked into this for me and said patients are supposed to wait until they are two weeks post op before taking it. It is horrible, but I was able to start eating yogurt by the time I began taking it. Mixing it with yogurt makes it tolerable. I think it is worth taking to prevent a future surgery. Best of luck. -
Good Luck! I am being sleeved tomorrow as well, unless the big storm blows the hospital down.
