    Cooking Smaller Amounts..?

    stilll having trouble with that. I end up freezing a lot of stff in individual packages and using it for lunches at work

    ninja pulse is the BOMB !!!. come with three travel cups and lids. 6 ice cubes, one scoop of protein powder and skim milk just under the top of the ice make the thickest coldest frozen concoction ever!!!. plus the larger blender that comes with it whips of the protein mix (using the cookie dough attachment) to a thick airy consistency that you can make your ice cream with it. I travel a lot for work and I use a magic bullet when I am in hotel room but it doesnt have the same thickness & cosistency that the ninja does.

    started having popcorn at 12 weeks out. I buy the 100 calorie bags and savor every bit of it since I ony have it once in a while since it is a slider for me. I have not been able to go to the movies since surgery because I dont trust myself

    like my original post says it is a FYI. what they do with the info is up to them. So get off your soapbox and step down, stop being so rude telling me not to post things. The only person I see preaching is you. what I said in my first post is totlly true "just a FYI .... banana's are full of carbs and sugar. They are given to people who need to gain weight" There was nothing about that post saying not to eat a banana. so stop being so rude to me and find another hobby besides bashing me !!!!

    How The Heck Do You Find Creative Things To Eat?

    I have been doing my major cooking once a week. freezing in individual portions and I have lots of options. also have been buying a whole cooked chicken from sams club, taking it off the bone and throwing it in a tupperware conatiner. so many options with chicken breast. I also have been planning my meals and packaging them up twice a week for the next few days. I never have to think what I am going to have and I also wont grab the unhealthy stuff because I am too tired to think or cook

    Zumba Anyone? Is This A Good Work-Out?

    I have amped up my exercising and started doing zumba 3-4 x's a week. I bought the DVD's and my daughter and I do it at home. still trying to make it untill the end of the 45 minutes but I keep plugging along

    OMG people. dont get so defensive..... it is only a banana!!!! I am glad that it works for you but for me personally I would rather not have one... and this is what these boards are about... people's opinions. per my NUT, banana's are a no no and I am planning on doing what my NUT. says.

    Update-I Wonder...

    6 months ='s 60 lbs. Thats 10 llbs a month !! 2.5 lbs a week avg. you tell me how you are doing. and we all gain a few llbs of water weight when it is that time of the month. keep up the great work !!! reemember to get all you protein and exercise in,, good luck !!!

I had over 1 1/2 years to prepare for surgery. the last few weeks I went all in and started cleaning out my food pantry, changing dishes and getting new sleeve friendly recipes. since coming home from the hospital I have only vomited once (took my vitamin on an empty stomach). There have been a few times that I have been in a stall and I change my diet up some and within 2-3 weeks the weight starts coming off again. I have increased my exercise and have never felt better. My main concern was leakage and sincce that didn't happen I say this was one of the best things I have ever done for myself. In my head I still miss food.... but it is not worth it

    Water + Small Meals? How?

    the first few weeks you are consumed with knowing when to drink and eat and how much fluids you are getting in. after a whilw just like anything it will become a new habit and it will become second nature. i still record every morsal of food that I eat (I weigh everything!!!) and every ounce of fluid I drink. good luck

    Headaches With Not Eating

    I have been headache free for months prior to having the surgery. I make sure I drink my required fluids and get all my protein in. Doesnt mean that I will not have a decaf Iced coffee once in a while. I love the flavor of coffee. Not eating just makes me grumpy. and I have never been a big breakfast person. I usually have my protein shake when I first get up. lunch (protein) and diner (protein), I always have eggface's protein ice cream for dessert. good luck to you

    Rotisserie Chicken

    so with my husband gone all summer I am really not cooking that much but I had to give you guys a heads up. Once a week I have been going to Sam's Club and buying a whole rotisserie chicken for $5.99. I'll bring it home and take all the meat off the bone and put it in a tupperware container. It lasts me all week with myself and daughter. Their breast meat is really tender & juicey. Add it to a salad, use refried beans and salsa for quick mexican dish. There are so many possibilties. my favorite is just adding grilled mushrooms with low carb/sugar BBQ sauce to it. The dog loves it to because if there are any leftovers at the end of the week he gets a treat

    Headaches With Not Eating

    get off the caffiene now !!! save yourself the hassle later and before the sleeve you can still use excedrin migraine. cut back gradually and increase your fluids. headaches are brought on more by dehydration. also try eating 6 mini meals per day instad of the typical 3 meals and see if that helps. before surgery all I drank was diet coke and coffee, it took me a good 4 months for my headaches to go away totally

    It Was Easy...

    keep it up girl.... I know that sometimes I still crave a whopper and the smell of fried foods still puts me in a tizzy... but it is not worth it. grilled chicken & veggies are my life now :-)
