colace one pill a day keeps me going. I have needed it even before my surgery. You can take it up to twice a day for the rest of your life without any side effects. It is a stool softener not a laxitive.

So Is This The 3Rd Week Stall?
Lauranbob Mc replied to BABEwiththePOWER's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have been in the infamous 3 week stall now for the past 2 weeks. I know I shoulldnt complain since I have lost so much weight in the beginning. but 2 weeks and now 1 pound lost. I eat between 600-800 calories per day 60-80G of protein less than 35% carbs and less than 22% in fat intake. I know I am not exercising enough but I still try to do something everyday even if it is walking a mile. I am very frustrated right now. -

Not Sure If I Should Worry
Lauranbob Mc replied to cassieh's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
try a sugar free popsicle if you have any on hand. if you are unable to keep any fluids down then that is an issue and needs to be taken care of ASAP. traces of blood in you slime miight be a reason to call your MD but not run to the ED for. If it was vomiting bright red blood and buckets of it then run there. -

How Long Are You Out Of Work?
Lauranbob Mc replied to neeve's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
it matters what type of job you do. desk jobs are back within a week. I am a trauma nurse in a large urban emergency room. I was not allowed back to work untill I was able to perform my job 100% including lifting more than 50 pounds. I was given 4 weeks out. Hope this helps -

what is a compression garment ?? -
YES !!! The biggest thng is whipping enough air into the product before it goes into the ice cream maker. The more times I make it... the better I get at it and it still tastes good when you start out. My husband even eats it... The only time that I didnt like it was when I trried adding greek yogurt to it.. not my thing

Weight Loss Surgery Cookbooks
Lauranbob Mc replied to ChaChaBurch's topic in Regular foods (stage 4)
I printed a lot of eggfaces recipes at home and book them in a 3 ring binder. I put dividers between them for Breakfast, sauces, chicken, seafood, beef & Desserts. I just it last night. one I see another recipe I can always add more. -

not only do I use this every day to make my protein drinks . I also use the blender to make my ice cream with. My one problem was not getting the mixture light and airy enough before it went into the ice cream maker. I HAVE FOUND THE SOLUTION !!! use the cookie dough paddles and whip it up. it makes it so thick like pancake batter. Best ice cream that I have made as of yet !!!

I loved to grill a portabella mushroom and whip it up in the blender with a can of FF cream of mushroom soup. it has a lot of flavor to it.

The Dreaded 3 Week Stall.. Tips?
Lauranbob Mc replied to AngieG0410's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have it too.... SUCKS !!! -
at olive garden they have grilled salmon and also seafood brodetto (dont eat the bread). look at their menu online. both are the lowest in calories and high in protein. we already know if you eat even half of the portion you are going to be stuffed. enjoy

(praying it is because its my time of the month within the next few days) I am obsessed with the scale and weigh myself every day ( i know ...; no good ) been eating all the right food... I am just not sure if I am eating too much of the right food. How many calories per day and I am suppsed to have? Please I didnt go thru all of this to not be successful.

Sleeved On 4/24
Lauranbob Mc replied to dreynolds05's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
easy on the chili.... pureed carrots were so filling and tasty !!!, try grilling a portabella mushroom and blending it with fat free cream of mushroom soup . top it off with grated parmesean cheese. adds tons of flavor and protein.
