God bless it! I cannot EVER get in to do this survey. It's always closed!
-
I like the Adora ones too. (I got some free samples to try) I just have to get mine ordered now. I don't think anywhere around here carries them. Any ideas on where I might find them?

Hi girl. So sorry to hear of your esophagus problems. I pray that the unfill will do you a world of good, and that the EGD will show only positive things. *gives you a pat on the back*
-
I wondered where you have been. Glad to see you back. I missed you!

What a sweet baby! Congratulations grandma! (He couldn't have been born to a nicer g-ma either, in my humble opinion. )

I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope that they can get you scheduled for your surgery soon and get you healed up. You have been through hell and back with this whole band thing, and I wish only peace and happiness for you. All my best to you.

Holy smokes girl! I must've missed this somehow! I didn't know that this had happened to you, and I am very sorry to hear so. I'm glad that you have your answer and can now move on accordingly though. Best of luck to you

I was thinking about you yesterday and then this morning. I wondered how things went, so I'm happy to hear that you came through everything ok. Please take care, and if you need me I'm here. Hugs!
-

Penni, Doctor Phil has a great book out for weightloss. I almost went on his program right before discovering the LapBand. I find him very inspirational, and his book may be able to help you out as well. Best wishes to you girl. I certainly feel for you. Love Ya! ~Kelly

Congratulations! -
I wanted to say how much I admire you both for sticking with the "rules" even now. You are both wonderful women, and I'm so glad that you're both still here. I wish you both continued success in your journies.

Very cute idea Penni!

I know that most people would say that they wouldn't do it if they were going to be the first. But in all honesty, if you know that he's an excellent surgeon, if he's got good credentials, is willing to give you good aftercare, and knows what he's doing (Has been proctered in the LapBand procedure, or will have some there who is proctered in it to show him how to do it.) then I would personally go for it. I don't say to go for it just because it's free, I say to go for it only if the above guidelines are met. I wouldn't say to do it if he will be doing the surgery alone and is not familiar with the procedure, and I wouldn't say do it if he isn't going to be giving you aftercare either. You need to ensure that those things are going to be taking place and set up for you ahead of time, otherwise you may find that you'll regret going ahead with it. I also advise you not to keep your body in ketosis, and no, we bandsters are not supposed to be eating that way either (with the exception of maybe a week or 2 right before surgery, to shrink the liver so that it doesn't get nicked during surgery). It can be very harmful to keep your body in that state for any extended amount of time. Whatever your decision, I wish you the best of luck in all of this.

Congrats on your new life!

Good for you! I remember feeling the same exact way when I was at my heaviest as well. I was literally letting life pass me by. I remember avoiding people that I had went to school with (I mean ducking into aisles at stores) just so that I wouldn't have to be embarrassed by my weight gain. Now, even though I know that I still weigh more than what I did back in school, I can look those people right in the eyes with confidence in who and what I am, and not be ashamed of ME! Kuddos to you, because that was a very huge step in moving on with your life. It's awesome when we come to the realization that we really are worth something, and we really do matter!!! Good for you!

I've never even heard of her, but if she's a judgemental wench, then I'm glad I've never heard of her.

Drats! I missed it again! It is saying closed to me again this morning. I'll have to keep checking back cuz I sure could use that extra $50 right now!!!

That is truly both weird and amazing all at the same time. If it doesn't have preservatives and additives that are horrible for the human body, then it may just be worth a try. I'm still the skeptic here.
