    Who watches Survivor?

She left because she felt that she had already had all of the experiences from going there that she needed. She also didn't get along with any of the other team mates and I guess that made the experience less than desirable for her. But what an opportunity to just give up on and give away! I was so shocked that she'd just give it up for Stephanie! And the previews look like Steph is going to rally the girls around her to oust Tom (The alpha male there) out. I'm thinking he must not win immunity (oh well, he's won it for 2 weeks in a row now) which leaves him vulnerable to get ousted. He's probably the strongest player there, so if they can all rally together and get rid of him, then they'll all have a much better chance of winning. HHHHMMMMMMMM........I guess we'll see what happens next week!
  3. Those Slim-A-Bear things are awesome! Hubby and I both love them! Great suggestion!
  4. I'm guilty as charged too. Don't feel too badly, because when I was on the Prednesone I became an icecream aholic! So I think that's normal. I too found it hard to get back into regular eating patterns again after taking that. I was such a food junkie just shoveling it in that week, that it took me another week - 2 weeks just to turn my eating patterns/habits back around. I started buying those Health Smart Bars and love the taste (they're made with Splenda instead of aspartame) and find that those tend to do the trick for me too. Best of luck to you! Getting rid of ice cream isn't easy, and I still crave the real thing sometimes and give in to it too!

    Super Obese Teen seeks advice!

Hi Joe! I'm not sure if anyone else your age is here or not. I know that there have been some younger posters here in their early 20's, so they're not too much older than you! I too have been heavy since I was very young, and feel I missed out on some things in earlier life as well. I feel your pain and would like to encourage you to continue researching this. I had tried so many diets and exercises pre-banding, and nothing seemed to work very long term for me. This surgery has literally saved my life (I even had a doctor tell me so!) and I am so grateful that I was able to have it. Good luck in whatever you decide, and please feel free to ask any and all questions that you might have. Best Wishes, ~Kelly

    Who watches Survivor?

OMG!!! Can anyone believe what happened tonight?!?! I am still in total shock! What was Janu thinking?!?! And how lucky is Stephanie to be there for at least another week!!!! And the previews for next week's show look mighty interesting!!! It looks like Stephanie is going for the throat now! Whew! P.S. My guess is that she's very angry with Tom, and is going to rally the girls to vote him off. If she can pull it off, then she's going to be the major power player. This is getting soooo exciting!!!

    Idol...

I agree Pat. Scott and Anthony need to go! I was soooooo upset that Anwar was sent packing last night. He was so sweet and gifted, and that made me sad. I sure hope that Carrie, Vonzell, and Bo make the top 3. The others can all get lost and scram!

Oh my goodness! I could never survive the heat over there! Ugh! The thought alone of that sun beating down on my poor fair skin puts a good scare into me! LOL I suppose you'd get used it to though after a while, just like any weather. Like here, it was 80 degrees 2 days ago, and it dropped down into the 40s yesterday. It's just been a nut job weather pattern this spring, and it keeps on getting weirder! We're supposed to be getting snow again (of all things in late April) this weekend, dropping back down into the 30s. How weird is that?!?!
  12. Yep - I believe that I'll definately still be a curvy chick. As a matter of fact.......although I'm a heterosexual happily married woman, I find curvy women to be the most "attractive" if you will. When I see them I think to myself, "I want to look like that!" Even a size 16 would be absolutely beautiful! I can't wait to get there!!!!
  13. That is so awesome! Rock on!

    Fun Thread 042005

I'll never forget when my brother was a baby and I was 5 I was so jealous of him. He was in his baby swing and my mom had gone back to her bedroom for something. I was lying underneath of the swing and making it fly as high as it could go. My brother started screaming and my mom yelled from the back, "Kelly what are you doing to the baby?" And my only response was, "Nothing mom." And she said, "You must be doing something to him because he doesn't cry for no reason. Are you swinging that swing too high?" and of course I denied it again. She was too smart for that business, and just said, "Yeah, right. I know better." All I could do was smile that devious little 5 year old smile. To this day she knows the truth, even before I told her that I had indeed done it.

    pictures in my mind

Oh Lisa! You hit the nail right on the head! How dare Ryan Seacrest or anyone judge or make negative remarks openly about others being fat! You know, it's like you said. Everyone has something either internally or externally wrong with them. If it's not being overweight then it could be a drug or alcohol problem. If it's not that, then it could be a nasty judgemental attitude. (HHHMMM.....Mr. Seacrest?) If it's not that then it could be a huge nose. We all have something that needs working on, and I HATE IT when people act like they're flawless perfection embodied. Yeah....riiiiiiiiggggghhhhht!!!!! Even the most beautiful person in the world has some internal flaw that could use a little work, I'm sure. God made no one perfect except for His son Jesus Christ. In the words of Forrest Gump - "And that's all I have to say about that."

    I met a bandster

That's awesome! I can't wait to meet some of you from here. Maybe if I get rich some day (yeah right! but I can dream) I will fly out to meet my band buddies in the Cali, Nevada, Texas, Louisiana areas. How fun!

    To Dylansmom

You're very welcome Deb! I'm so glad that it is helping you! I know that some people want to get an idea of what they may be able to eat after the surgery, so it at least gives an idea. Hope you have a great day! P.S. How is the weather in Saudi Arabia right now? Are they the opposite of the US with winter and summer? I know Africa is. Other countries truly fascinate me!

    Magic 150 number

I chose 175 as my goal, but I'll see how I feel when I get there. I remember how good I looked at 200, and think that 175 would be divine. I'm a very large boned person though, so hopefully that weight will be ideal for me. We'll see.

    Sour cream/plain yogurt

There is a difference as far as consistency goes with the 2. I've used both with dry mixes before, but for different things. I tend to use the low fat/fat free sour cream with a veggie dip mix, and the plain yogurt with fruit dip mix. The sour cream is thicker, and the plain yogurt is a bit runnier. That's the main difference I've noticed. Taste wise the sour cream has a stronger taste than a plain yogurt would too. Plain yogurt tends to take on the flavor of the dip mix, but the sour cream tends to add to the flavor of it instead. As far as nutrition goes, I'd just look at the packages to compare the 2. Hope this helps!
