Oh dear. I remember those days! Please hang in there Trish. I know the first 2 weeks were the worst for me, and after that it all went well. Keep your chin up, and if you need to call me you can anytime. I love you girl! ~Kelly

Did I or did I not have surgery?????
dylansmom replied to guitarman's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yep. Bandit is right. My docs ARE wise to make me wait, but I'd like to get it done and over with. I see my new family doctor on the 12th, and she'll refer me to the Rheumatologist on that day. I already have the name of a Rheumie that I'd like to see (someone my mom works with strongly recommended him to me, as she sees him) so hopefully she'll give me the referral to him. I can't believe it's been 6 months already since my surgery. Hopefully I'll have my diagnosis (Lupus or otherwise) by the end of June. That way I can devote all of my attention and focus to my son's birthday and sister's wedding, both in the first week of July. That's what I'm shooting for. Time will tell. Anywho, everyone who gets at least one fill or more before they're 6 months out of surgey, please think of me before you whine. -

Your definately not alone dude. No fill here and it's been 6 months. I sure hope you're not in this same boat as I am 6 months from now. *Thumb down* -
Congratulations!

I didn't cheat by eating a huge meal or anything like that. But I did cheat by having one last soda. I had a whole 20 oz. bottle of REAL not diet rootbeer. I told the surgeon about it the next morning while they were wheeling me into surgery and she just laughed. She told me that was ok, just to make sure that I wouldn't do it after being banded.

I'm a Clumber Spaniel Gentle, sweet, easy going, and pleasant. Gets along with others but can be wilful. Doesn't usually make friends with strangers. Yep, that's me. It takes me a while to warm up to people, and to find out if I can trust them first.

South Beach Diet Food At The Stores!!!
dylansmom replied to Tarafeena's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I tried the chicken ceasar wraps today and they were ok, but I was disappointed in how much sodium is in them. I wish I would've looked before I bought them. 1265 mg of sodium! That's outrageous for one meal! So now I'm going to have to eat a sodium free dinner. HHHHMMMMM My overall rating? Make yourself at home. It'll taste better, and have way less sodium in it. -

Hi sweetie! I'm so glad to hear that everything went well and that you're on the mend. Welcome to bandland, and I'm here if you need me for anything. Hugs!!! -
We just rented a few movies from the library on Thursday. Escanaba In Da Moonlight with Jeff Daniels in it - had some funny parts and he finally bagged his deer, thus no longer baring the name "The Buckless Yupper". My husband loved it, and I thought it was just ok. Also rented Ali with Will Smith as main role. Husband liked it and I thought it was hard to follow and not my cuppa. Both a somewhat disappointment to me.

Good luck to you Mary. Crossing my fingers that everything will turn out well for you.

COMPLETELY off topic, but I need some advice....
dylansmom replied to thechatrooper's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I totally agree with everything that Jenna said. There's a lot of wisdom in her words. I just watched Oprah 2 days ago and there was a relationship expert on there. He has written books and everything about it. He said to look at what you REALLY want from the relationship and then to find out what your boyfriend wants from it. He said that if they don't match and if neither are willing to meet in the middle on it, then you need to end it. He said to do it ASAP. I really hope that you can get through this ok, and that your heart will heal soon. Best of luck to you. These things are never easy. -
Such a sweet post Paula. God bless our soldiers!

I thought that Constantine and Scott had the worst performances of Monday night. I didn't see Carrie's, so I can't say what I thought about hers. I honestly thought that it would be Scott leaving, and was a bit surprised that Constantine was the one to go. BUT it is supposed to be based on the Monday night performance, and I think that his performance did stink. So I guess I shouldn't have been shocked that he was the one to go. I WAS shocked that it wasn't Scott. He seriously needs to get gone!

Good luck to you!!!

chicken & Creamy Cornbread Place your chicken pices in a dish or multiple dishes (however many you need). Sprinkle with your favorite herbs. I use - Rosemary, Parsley, Basil, and Thyme. Place in oven on 400. Check at 1 hour. You may need to cut one piece open to see if it needs to bake longer. Use Jiffy mix cornmeal mix and make according to package instructions. Mix in one small can of creamed corn and place in a small glass baking dish. Bake according to instructions on Jiffy box. May need to bake a bit longer due to cream corn. Bon Apetit!

I wondered about the eyesight/hearing too. I'd definately have your sister get those 2 things checked, just to be sure. She's a BEAUTIFUL baby BTW!!!!

Scott was SAFE!!! And then Constantine got voted off! I was so surprised this week. And although I was never a real Constantine fan, I still think he deserved to be there more than Scott. Just my 2 cents worth. *smirk*
