Oh Nicole I am so sorry for you. I have been through 4 miscarriages myself and I know exactly how you feel inside right now. Please allow yourself to grieve through this and to give yourself the time to heal emotionally and physically. I am here if you ever need me. If you'd like someone to talk to please feel free to PM me anytime. I'll also PM you my home phone number too, and you can call me ANYTIME. I very much suggest the book called, "Grieving The Child I Never Knew" by Kathy Wunnerberg. It helped me get through the process of grieving, and it helped give me the hope that I so desperately needed. I'm here if you need me. Much love to you and your husband. ~Kelly

I think you have to do what works for you. Not everyone will feel comfie talking about it, but then there are those of us who are. I am willing to shout it from the rooftops if it'll save someone's life. I've had so many people who are obese ask me about it, and I take the time EVERYTIME to address their fears, concerns, etc. and answer all of their questions. Although my situation has been unlike anyone else I know who has had the surgery, I am still proud that I'm 50 pounds lighter then I was at my heaviest. 50 pounds is nothing to poo poo at, no matter how long it's been since I've lost anymore! I've only had one person ask me if I'm still losing, and I know that she's a jealous/nasty person, so I let it slide off my back like it's nothing. Everyone else has been VERY supportive of me. -
The doggies are all so cute!!!!! And Paula girl! You are looking amazing!!! And look at sweet little BeBe. Please give him hugs from auntie Kelly, and tell him that Dylan says hi too! Much Love!

As a general rule I just try to eat until I feel full. I know.......this coming from someone who doesn't have a fill yet. But I try not to go by what someone else's standards are of what I "should" and "shouldn't" be able to eat. Only you know your body, and if you don't feel truly full, then I say keep eating until you do. If you listen carefully enough, your body will let you know when it's done.

AW! He is absolutely adorable!!! It amazes me that any human being could be heartless enough to coldheartedly try to dispose of any precious animal. Give him lots of hugs from me. If I were there he'd be even more spoiled than I'm sure he already is! Kisses kitty!!!

Wow! Congratulations JQ! You have always been such an encouragement to me, so I NEED to encourage you back. You are a standing example that "With God all things are possible!" You go boy!!!! -

Thank you so much for this wonderful gathering place that we call LBT Alex! I appreciate that you've taken the time to make these upgrades during the holiday weekend, let alone doing them at all! It just proves what an awesome LBT "father" you are. I too recommended this site to my surgeon, and she has said how much she likes it, and said that she would start recommending it to her patients. Take care Alex, and God bless you!

Sorry I'm just now seeing this.....but I am happy that you had such a fulfilling time with your family. That's definately what matters the most, isn't it! You're such a wonderful woman, and I couldn't have wished any better of a time for you. Hugs!

Oh my Lord have mercy! What a strange twist of events! Good luck to you!

I was honestly thinking the same thing as LaMadam too. If it was a woman whom you were working with and she was doing this, I'd say kill her with kindness, but since it's a man and they relate differently than we women do, I'd cut straight to the chase with him. Very bluntly, but nicely, tell him that you overheard him make some weight comments and you were wondering if there was going to be a problem with the 2 of you working together. And when you say it, I'd be saying it with no emotion, and don't let him know that it got to you. Keep a straight face, and keep it purely business, like someone else suggested. Men can usually be cut straight to the chase with, and you can usually be a lot more blunt with them than women. They deal purely on a factual basis, and don't deal well with emotion. I'd venture to guess that by asking that one question and cutting right to the chase with him, you'll get the issue resolved. Maybe he'll appreciate your bluntness, it'll catch him off guard, and you'll become fast friends. OR - If he's truly the dirtbag that we all suspect him to be, you can go to your higher ups and let them know that he has a problem working with you and to hopefully get it resolved. Either way......the direct approach usually works best with men. They are the type that can "hit each other below the belt" and still walk away best friends despite it.

I agree with everyone else. I have been taking something called a Superfood Multiple (multiple vitamin) and I noticed how much less I eat when I'm taking it, and how much fuller I stay for longer. Maybe it boils down to my body getting the vitamins it needs, and not feeling like I need to gulp a ton of food down to get them.

I see that the military is there now! Thank God!!! Prayers are being answered folks!!! And thank goodness Bush has finally had his eyes opened, and is going there now too!!! I am glad that he has finally admitted that his administration did not handle this the best that they possibly could have, and I pray that they will begin to deliver good on their words and DO SOMETHING for these people!!!!!

I have to add...... I am sickened to read that small starving children were seen wailing around a dead elderly woman's body, and that they were subjected to seeing many dead bodies lying all around them. I am sickened beyond belief to read that there are AMERICAN refugees being raped, stolen from, and shot at. May God have mercy on these poor people's souls, and may He quickly send in the food, clothing, troops, and above all the ORDER that so desperately needs to be restored for this beaten down and ravaged city. Please Lord give these people YOUR hope. Please quickly get them the food, shelter, clothing, and supplies that they so desperately need. Please get the troops sent in quickly so that order will once again be restored, and so that evil cannot and WILLNOT prevail. Oh Lord, please touch the hearts and lives of these people and let them know that You love them and that they are important to You. Be their Rock, their Comfort, their Shelter, and their Help. Protect them in the shadows of Your wings I pray, and bring them the help that they desperately, desperately need. I ask all of this in Your most Precious, Sacred, and Holy name, the name that is above all names, the name of Jesus, Amen.

I just read this on Yahoo.... It looks like they are sending $10Billion in aid to the city, and also sending in Military help as well. Now let's just hurry up and get it there and get to helping those people!!!

Not to be rude, but please PM the person whom you are speaking with regarding the scar therapy. We are not allowed to solicit on this board or advertise what we do/sell. Thank you.

I wasn't aware that this could even be done. My LapBand doctor told me that she gets requests from bypass patients on a daily basis asking her if she can band them and she always says no she can't. She explained that once the bypass is done, it's done. She said that the stomach has changed so much that there is no way to safely band it. Maybe she/I am wrong, but I'd definately be asking ALL of the right questions, and getting all of my ducks in a row before attempting to get a band over a bypassed stomach. The thought alone scares even me!

When I was a teenager I once decided to fast on fruits and veggies for a week, as well as drinking anything except pop (soda). By the time the end of that week came, I was so full of energy and felt so extremely focused as well. It was AMAZING! Yesterday I felt like I was to fast on fruits and veggies for all but dinner, and so I did. It helped my system feel a bit "lighter" if you will, and it was a nice practice of self control for me too. I find nothing wrong with fasting (the healthy way) for a short amount of time. Not only does it allow us to exercise our human capacity for self control, it also allows our bodies to heave a sigh of relief from all of the over processed crap that we stuff in them on a daily basis. (Even if you don't eat out, or eat a lot of processed foods - meat, dairy, and eggs contain added chemicals/contaminants that your body can surely do without.) Good luck to you in whatever you decide. Rememeber to plan ahead and think of what you know your body can tolerate and what you think you'll be able to handle self control wise as well. (Example - It's smarter to allow myself fruits and veggies, than set myself up for failure from the get go. I know my own strengths and weaknesses.)

Wow. I hear a lot of the same things that I have felt/feel. I had purple/blue/bright red hair, and I have only 1 friend here, whom I rarely am around, I might ad. I admire how men relate to each other, and have had more men friends in the past than women. Now I only have the one woman friend here. I don't know many other 30 YO whose heart's desire is to serve the Lord. My goal in life is to be a missionary. All of the other 30 YO here want to do drugs and drink and party, even if they do have kids, a mortgage, and are married. No thanks, I think I'll pass. Been there done that when I was younger, and it got me only pain and suffering. I think I'll stick with desiring to help people, love them, and lift them up. I've been called weird by others all of my teenage and adult life, but that's ok with me. I'd rather be weird and unique like I am, then try to fit the world's mold of what is normal on any given day. I've finally just realized that being me is ok, I love my life, and I love who God has created me to be. There is no one else like me, and only I can choose to fulfill the calling that I have on my life. Life is good.
