Hey all, well I am back from first fill! It wasn't bad. I have lost 5 lbs since surgery. I am happy with that because I feel like I have been eating too much. Hey you all! Thanks for the nice welcome!~ What do I have to do to be in the challenge??? I want some challenges. I don't know if I have lost anything yet, will find out tomorrow at my first fill. I have no restriction right now, getting ready for TOM and feeling like I want every carb in a 10 mile radius of me!! LOL I would like to join the April group as I was banded in April, don't know how to do that. Would it be prudent at this juncture to say I am not all that computer literate?? I want a ticker, and I want to show my stats when I get some, I want to be cool like all of you guys with your fancy names and such!!! On a serious note, how did your DH help out or not help out with this journey?? I just posted on the 100 lbs loser thread! OMG isn't that incredible!! I can only pray to the Lord Almighty that I can do something that amazing! This site is going to be just what I need, my teenage boys and DH are not all that supportive right now. Again, thank you for all the advise and PMs even the little ones like my favorite "eat some ff refried beans with a little salsa if you feel like mexican"!!! Love it!! Hey this is awesome!! I haven't even lost 10 lbs yet but I hope it works as well for me as it has for the rest of you. I get my first fill tomorrow! Any of you who have any advice for a newbie, please PM me!! I need all of the encouragement and support I can get. I just keep thinking "I hope this works" surgery seems so drastic and now that I have had it done, I worry if it will be like every diet I have tried my whole life and failed at. I was banded April 9th 07 in Kansas City Ks. To the 100lb losers, I'm not worthy I'm not worthy! But I hope it happens to me. You guys are incredible and remember! I want to go to twoterville! I was just banded 4-9-07. Haven't lost much yet but I would love to travel to twoterville! It would be amazing. Onederland seems SO far away. I will let everyone know if I have lost anything after I get my first fill on Wednesday 5-16-07. That will be the first official weigh in. My clothes tell me that I haven't lost much though. Plus the fact I can and have been eating. I wish I hated eating. I wish lots of things, but most of them center on losing this excess. Good luck and could someone send me an email or private message to explain the extra things that are put into signatures about april bandits and may exercise challenges etc?? Thanks Katie

You are doing so awesome and have similar stats to mine. Can you tell me the secret? I was banded Apr. 7 and haven't had a fill. I am hungry. I am just praying that this is going to work for me. Thanks, Katie

Hi Suzie, I am from Indep Mo and had my surgery at wtlsc on April 9th. They were great but unfortunately I don't have bcbs so I can't tell you on that. But they did help me with my insurance, getting it approved, I didn't have to pay upfront, only the 150.00 for the consult and got most of it back. Good Luck to you. Katie

Hello all, I am Kathy too, from the Kansas City, MO area. I was banded on Apr. 9th and so far have only lost a couple of lbs and am discouraged. I see on this website how people are losing a ton in just a couple of days. I am scheduled for my first fill on May 16th but my Dr. only adds a little at a time. Can anyone give my advice. I have followed the liquid to soft to try philosophy and right now I am trying whatever I want to eat. Last night had fish and veggies without a problem. Just ate too much and really felt full. Couldn't throw up, wouldn't come back up to relieve my too full feeling. I think I am just having trouble with my mind and my portion size right now. Please, I will take any advice. K

Hey all, Thank you so much for replying to my post My first fill is scheduled for May 16. Did I say that already?? But I am not losing very quickly at all. I want to put a ticker on my signature too, but I don't know how. I made one just don't know how to do it. Just wanted to say thank you to those of you who posted for me. I hate feeling discouraged it just isn't me. I like feeling positive and excited for what is to come. I just get this feeling it may not work for me. Kathy
