Hey Corinna! How is it going? How are you doing getting your fluids in? I'm so glad to have met you down there!! Doing great here! Just have pains in my chest can't decided if I'm hungry, gas, or acid! Lol

Well I am feeling great now! If I knew what I was walking into I don't think I would have done it... I think if I had it to do all over again I would actually go to a hospital where you stay and don't leave. I was the last one to have surgery and it wasn't until 7:30 p.m. THe wait was terrible. THere was so many of us scheduled that day. I only thought they scheduled about 6 but there was 8 of us. I was the heaviest so I went last. I stayed at the clinic that night. Lots of pain so be prepared. Walk walk walk. Some patients had to walk upstairs after their surgery, I was lucky to stay downstairs. They give you pain meds and nausea meds. Tordol is the pain med. The next day we were moved to the house or hotel. I went to the hotel it was wonderful! my mother went and all the food was absolutely great she said and very reasonable in price. The bad thing about being at the hotel, I thought they brought you the pain meds, no you have to load up in the van and travel back and forth. So about 9 am day after surgery they took me to the hotel, and about 5 pm that night had to load back up and go back to the clinic. It was miserable! 2 days after we went about 9 am for the leak test and xray took about an hour with the wait only about 3 minutes for the xray. I was miserable the whole time. It wasn't until they pulled the drain out of me and gave me some more pain meds that I felt like a brand new person! I don't want to scare you or anything but that was just my experience. I'm pretty much a baby when it comes to pain to!!! lol I've never had surgery of any kind! Also, the place is VERY small, we were standing a lot of the time. On a good not, Dr. Almanza is hott!! So are most of the nurses and staff!! Setting here writing this though I feel absolutely great other than I am starving! And I mean really starving!!!! Hopefully I can go find something to drink! Good luck!

Im starving!! Maybe I should take a few sips of protein drinks. Only clear liquids pop sickles and broth. Had my surgery the 23rd..

I'm in San Diego! Tomorrow is my surgery. Sooooo nervous!!

Anybody else have diarrhea before surgery. My surgery is Wednesday and my stomach has been so upset.

My doc is allowing Tylenol. I started my dang period so I have to have something!! Another reason I'm so emotional!! Lol

Heading to the airport early in the morning and catching a flight to San Diego. Surgery is Wednesday. I can't get my nerves to subside!! I know this is normal but I wish they would go away!!

I wish I could relax! I'm so scared and nervous! I can't stand this. Thanks for the relies. I knew I should have found some Xanax before we left!

I noticed this morning it didn't bother me when I woke up but after I got up and started doing a few things, and setting on the couch it's definitely there.

Was reading on the obesityhelp page where almanza left part of this lady's fundus? Or some of it and didn't get it all. Now she can eat more than most. That makes me worried. Can you guys help reassure me? Lol

I'm getting mine done down in Tijuana. I don't know about coffee. I think you can. Plan on getting protein shakes. Jello.

Thanks do much for all the replies. I'm just crazy nervous about this. I know everything will be fine. Hearing all your success stories reassures me. Also I'm not trying to spread rumors, just concerned. This is my stomach I'm putting in their hands! Lol

Alright guys my mother and I are having out surgeries down in good ole Mexico. We were thinking of making it a mini vacation with my father as well. We will be driving from Oklahoma. Do you think riding in a car back home will be okay with lots of stops and take about three days with rest? I just don't know what kind of pain is going to be in our future. I called the airlines. 500 bucks per seat. Plus they want us to get an extra per person. This was at southwest. Just confused as to what is my best option.
