Am I The Only One That Wasnt On A Pre-Op Diet?
Carly replied to jiggyjen1982@yahoo.com's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also wasn't on a preop diet. I have been fine so far, at 8 days out, and had no problems in surgery. -

Sleeved Today 04/09 And Ouch!
Carly replied to adrimc26's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I didn't have anything to drink he whole first day, and assuming you still have your IV it's not necessary, so just take it easy. Maybe your throat is raw. Take some pain meds and try to get up and walk a bit. I hope you feel better soon. -

Carly replied to sashadee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I only had one week off and it has been ok. Very doable. -
I am sorry for your difficulties and pain. Do you think that water intake could be an issue?

Looking For Realistic Opinion On Time Off
Carly replied to BoBann's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I went back to work yesterday after having one week off. I have been fine. I teach at the university so I am up at 5:00, at school by 6:30, and teaching from 8-11. I am usually back home by 1:00. These past two days I have been tired when I got home, but no huge deal. I don't think anyone could guess that I had surgery by my disposition at work. For me, it has been ok. -
As anyone else out there felt sweaty with light exertion? I was walking to and from my classes today and am so clammy. No temp. just slightly sweaty. Is this normal?
-
Ok, glad to hear I'm not alone. That's strange about the smell, why is that I wonder?

Where Are My April 2012 Sleevers?
Carly replied to JimmyGotSLEEVED's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Update: Started back to work yesterday and went for my one week appt. I did ok at work, though a bit tired and not as bubbly as usual. I've been having some headaches too, not too bad though. The NUT started me on protein which is nice to get some more sustainence and thicker soups. I asked the doctor about the whitish tongue and he said not a worry. He encouraged more water intake- that's still a bit difficult. Anyway, I had lost 12 pounds. So all in all, I am feeling better. Take care y'all. -
Hey y'all, I am just wondering if mornings were particularly difficult for anyone else? Its not that they are bad, but I definitely feel worse in the AM. I feel a little sweaty, although there is no temp, weak, and a bit queezy. I keep water by my bed so I can take a sip here and there during the night, and as soon as I get up, I drink Activia yogurt. It dissipates, but I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar feeling.

No, I'm not diabetic. I wondered about this liquid diet and blood sugar issues though. I'm not diabetic, but I certainly have dealt with low blood sugar symptoms.
-
Thanks. It was a little better today. Hoping for the best for you and me.

Thanks Dooter, I asked my doctor today at my one week appt. he seemed to think this is just normal. I think I am peri menopausal too. So worried about the hair loss, as I have already lost so much! Thanks

Well I am back to work tomorrow, and I teach in college, so there is nothing too strenuous, but I do have a rolling briefcase that I need to lift in and out of my car. Is that ok? It probably weighs about 20 lbs.
