Drinking Liquids
Carly replied to Sergeant_Hotsauce's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was always a big guzzler of water. Right after the surgery I was taking in only teeny tiny sips, but now, at almost two weeks, I am able to take a semi-regular sip. Of course, it has to process through a bit before I can take in another, and that's why it takes me longer to get all of my water in. I too, just keep a big ol' bottle of water with me and drink all day long- right up until bedtime. It does take some getting used to to not drink while eating, but there are so many other changes I am focused on, this one has not been troublesome. -
That's wonderful! You look marvelous. So happy for your success!

Carly replied to SKCUNNINGHAM's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Very nice post and reminder to me to always be thankful and view what is real as most important. The rest is just distraction. -
I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. But she must have known about you what you are now discovering- how strong and amazing you are. Blessings to you.

You will be fine. I don't think there are more bad than good. Maybe you are just focussing on them because you are nervous. It will be over before you know it, and the learning about eating is so gradual. I havent been that aware of taking on a whole new way of eating because it is one tiny step at a time. Best of luck to you!

Hi, I just had surgery on April the first and it was fine. You will not be aware of any of the heavy stuff- just peacefully sleeping. Then you will wake up and maybe have some pain and maybe not. I didn't use any pain medication the first day and only once on the second day. I haven't used any since beinghome either. God willing you will be just fine. Don't think too far ahead. Just focus on one step at a time. Good luck.
