I keep reading about gallbladder problems, and people having them removed postoperative. How common is this? Why?
-
After reading all of this, yes, I will ask at my next appt. about gallbladder meds. That is scary though. I don't want to have another surgery!

You look awesome. Great job!

Me too, I'd rather not be consuming all of this artificial sweetener- in protein shakes, crystal light, sugar free stuff. I wish there were an alternative

That will really help keep your motivation up! Wonderful -
I have been thinking about how my weight loss is going and reading about people's concerns with it being slow, maybe for me too. Then, this morning, I got on the scale and it hadn't moved and I felt that little frustration monster whispering to me, just for a sec tho because I realized something. I thought about how many times I have been on a diet and fallen of the wagon, been unsuccessful, and given up. I thought about how many mornings I have woken up and felt disgusted with myself for what I ate the night before. I thought about how hopeless I felt about my future ability to lose. And I remembered all of the negative discourse in my head about what I failure I was. Then, I realized that things are different now and that even though the weight may be slow to come off, I am not falling off the wagon anymore. I am diligently working towards my goal. I am not tempted by junk food as much, and I am staying strong. The negative voices in my head are being silenced, and THAT is a victory in and of itself! Hopefully the weight loss will follow.

Thanks y'all. I am hoping to stay positive. We'll see.

Hard Time Dealing And Trying To Stay Away From Old Habits...

I just realized how different the serving sizes are on the protein powders! My NUT wants me to drink Isopure which I keep hearing has 50 grams of protein, and I also bought some Nectar which has 23 grams. The whole time I am thinking I am getting in so much protein since I have been drinking two Isopures a day, but then I just noticed, duh, that the serving size for them is TWO scoops. and the serving size for Nectar is 1/4 scoop= 6 grams protein. I am such a dunce sometimes. Guess I will have to up my amount now.

Yes, but I was holding back on drinking he Nectar cause I thought the Isopure had so much more. When in fact, it doesn't.

Getting My Sleeve In The Morning.

Hey congrats! Hope you heal quickly! -
That is a very scary feeling. He other day when I was teaching, I had just a tad of the feeling that you are talking about, and I just started to drink continuously and it went away gradually. But I thought I might pass out. My doctor warned me that most of the problems where patients come back to the hospital are related to dehydration. Glad you are better.

I Just Had Gvs April 5. At Home Now And My Stomach Will Not Stop Growling?
Carly replied to melissa65's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Of course, I was sleeved April 1 and I am growling quite often, but mostly while processing what I have drunk. It's normal. It's not like stomach growling when hungry. -
I didn't have a drain. Healed nicely, no oozing.

I agree, vinegar and salt can be used to break down bonds chemically when cleaning and such, so I would think they could be a bit harsh for a staples stomach try to heal.
