    What Did I Do?

It really is an eye opener. I've learned that I am a 'bored eater" and it's mind over matter! I'm not at all hungry, but I feel the need to chew on something It is a great tool and with time, I'm sure you will learn to listen! It's only been about 2 weeks, it's still new to you!

    What Did I Do?

I had my surgery on the 27th, so I've got one day on you. I cheated, although not with meat. I had a spoonful of cottage cheese last night and it wasn't at all comfortable. I too, was scared. I see my doctor for my two week follow up on Monday. If he gives me the OK, I am allowed to do soft foods and soft meats. I was up all night, so I know how you feel! I was supposed to do 2 weeks of liquids, and then 6 weeks of soft foods. But I needed something, and I thought cottage cheese would have been ok....I feel your pain but at least you are OK!
  3. Hello All, I am one week post op and have noticed some swelling in my stomach. I'm going to be calling the surgeon in the morning, but has anyone encountered this? It's not painful, just uncomfortable. Is it normal? Will it go down on it's own? Could it get infected? Any idea as to what it is? Thanks! Katie
  4. I called today and they said to keep compresses on it. I don't have staples or sutures. They glued my tiny incisions back together They said it could be gas or fluids and to see how the day progresses
  5. My surgeon has me coming in at 2 weeks for a checkup. I would be better with this if it just didn't appear over the past two days, but had been there for the whole time. It feels like fluid and it's getting more uncomfortable. No fever, no symptoms. So at least I know I don't have an infection! Thanks everyone!
