Weird symptoms of being to tight?

Tangoempress, Sounds like you have been doing great in your weight loss. Congrats!! I to have the problem of swallowing, to the point I would have to drink to get the food to go down. My doctor told me I had a hiatal hernia at first. Now he thinks it might be my esophagus. My esophagus passage is smaller than it should be. It might need to be stretched. Due to the reflux, I don't have a fill at the present. If things look better after seeing the doctor in June, then I probably will get another fill. I sure hope that time has healed things. It's funny that I've noticed more gas since I don't have a fill now. Don't know if that's normal or not. I did have a lot of burping with the fills. Good luck,,hope things work out great for you..

Weird symptoms of being to tight?

I was banded 10/05 . I have been having the same problem, after a fill thought I had a stomach virus. I was sick 3 out of the last 4 fills. The refulx was terrible, couldn't hardly sleep. My stomach actually hurt. I would get a fill then he would take some out. The doctor has sent me to an ENT to check my esphongus. I go back in June. I really think now since reading the forums, that my band has slipped..I sure hope not. Lots of luck

Weird symptoms of being to tight?

I was banded in 10/05. I did have lots of problems. Lots of slime. Also trouble with my food getting stuck in my throat. Also in the pouch, which was probably my fault. Eating too fast, etc. I did loose 57 lbs, then I stopped losing after a year almost to the anniversary of my surgery. I also started having the reflux. Get the fill, then an unfill. Finally got an upper GI, the doctor told me all was fine. Until about a month later after me still having problems, the doctor told me, oh by the way did you know you have a hiantle hernia. Of course I didn't. Now he is telling me its my esphongus. I now have no fill. Been to an ENT to get my esphongus checked. Going back in June to see if things are better. Needless to say, I can't get enough to eat. My doctor told me, "that if everyone was like me he would have to change professions." That really made me feel bad, like I was all alone and abnormal. This Forum has really enlighted me to so many things. So much of these things were not told to me, that could happen with this lap band. I do hope I don't have to have this band removed.
