I just had my big moment on Mother's Day. I got on the scale and it said 197! I am two months out from surgery and under 200 pounds for the first time in 10 years! I LOVE MY SLEEVE!

They say to expect to lose 50% - 80% of your excess weight in the first year. I don't think you will have a hard time getting to 140. I weighed 232 the day I had surgery and now I'm two months out and weigh 197. Good luck!

Bananas? Good Or Bad?
crys replied to gettinthinner's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I put half a banana in my protein shakes too. Yes, they have carbs but it's good carbs and a great source of potassium. My NUT wants us to stay under 100 carbs a day. So I just count my banana in there. I am curious what other people say about bananas though... -
I am almost 2 weeks out from getting my sleeve and I have had really bad stomach cramps for the past couple days. It feels similar to food poisoning. Has anyone experienced this? Is this normal?

Congrats! That's a big difference! You look great and I am so excited for you! I can't wait till I can put my first set of result pics on here! -
Try soy or almond milk. That and talk to your Doctor is the only advice I can offer. I wish you the best with it though and keep me posted. I hope it is just the healing process taking a little bit longer.

Can You Drink Milk Post-Op?
crys replied to NJsharon's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It was about 9 or 10 days after surgery that I could drink milk. Maybe you should wait a few days? -
That's how I felt the first two days that I had full liquids. Now they don't bother me. When did you have your surgery? If it was recent, you may not be ready for dairy yet. If it was a long time ago, maybe you are lactose intolerant now? That happens to some people after surgery.

Can You Drink Milk Post-Op?
crys replied to NJsharon's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You can, I do skim milk with my protein shakes but you need to wait till your cleared for full liquids. For me, that was day 8, but it upset my stomach the first day. Sometimes our stomachs need a little more time to heal than what's been written down for us. -
liquid In = Liquid Out I wouldn't worry about the diarrhea yet but if you are concerned call your surgeon's office. I had that problem while dealing with my stomach cramps but I'm happy to say it only lasted two days.

That sounds really yummy!

You should measure your waist, chest, calves, and arms. Those shrinking numbers can keep you motivated when the scale isn't showing you what you want. Just keep going and you'll see the results you want!

Thanks, I am staying positive and hoping these pains are temporary!

Thanks! I will try clear liquids today and see if my cramps calm down
