So glad to hear everything went great for you You look fabulous!! My question to you is that you have lost so much, in what amount of time? and also I noticed that you don't have the "wings" so to speak under your arms from the weight loss...how are you keeping your skin so tight? Thanks for your time! -

Hey everyone, I haven't updated the ticker but I'm 44 lbs down! Problem I'm having is that I'm still losing a lot of hair....I'm taking a prenatal and biotin intermittently with time for it to absorb in between. I'm pretty sure I'm eating enough protein but is anyone else having this problem because if it continues I will lose all my hair. -

I am 7 weeks out and I noticed that I've been stuck at between 21 and 24 pounds down for about a month. Is anyone else having this problem? -

I'm a month post-op and I can do about a 3 mile walk at a somewhat brisk pace but not really....any of you farther out find you can fully exercise again without feeling like your going to collapse? To exercise like we used to again. If you can how long does that take? -

I was a BMI of 34....I also plateaued at around 15 pounds loss for a couple weeks. I was sleeved on Feb 17th and stayed at around 15 pounds for a loooong time it seemed. No matter what I did it wouldn't come off. Just a couple days ago i started losing again. 24 pounds is still good but you will be at your goal by the end of May for sure. Your body goes through this feeling that your starving and holds on to all fat in your body. The thing you don't want to do is lose muscle. Good luck and hang in there I guarantee you will lose it. -

I've never had an issue with the artificial sweeteners but the agave is a more natural alternative. I find now I shop at only more nutritious stores and buy only organic food, which is better for my family (somehow If I don't eat much I can justify spending more for them). The things I want to avoid is being stuck on pills because I can't "heal" my stomach naturally and re-balance anything that was put out of whack with the surgery. The whey protein is very important right now to your health, you can't consume enough protein on your own and they whey protein is 23 grams for only 4 oz of liquid. It's doable. I think I pushed myself too far by trying to eat chicken now...I need to take a step back. It's hard to tell what I can eat and what I can't. -

Hey again! Tomorrow is exactly week 4, How is everyone doing with food intake at this point? I can do soft veggies and saltines lol. Are there any other suggestions? Also I'm having heartburn issues, the prilosec seems to help but does anyone else have a more natural way of dealing with it? -

Emotional Roller Coaster Before Surgery. Is This Normal?
blueluna75 replied to andi0120's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh honey everything your feeling is normal....I went through the same thing. In fact me being a single mom as well I'm pretty much tied to the house. Even though i hated my weight food was the only thing that made me happy...all those flavors and different textures and combinations...to never be able to indulge again??? I almost backed out. to be able to buy a $5 meal and eat it instead of 4 bites and walk away....to me that sounded horrible. Food was my enjoyment. Even now a week out of surgery I am going through those same withdraws of did I do the right thing? I took away my vice, my happiness, what do you mean I can only eat a breadstick and not the Pasta or desert?? This is something I'm sure will always stick in my head, but with most people the health aspect is more important. I knew I couldn't drop the weight to my ideal goal and stay there for long, it's just not feasible anymore. I'm getting older, health complication are becoming more and more and my metabolism is slowing down. This takes the guess work out and makes you goal achievable. I'm down 12 pounds since I started preop and I think it's due to the fact i have been on Clear liquids the whole time and have another week before I can start Protein shakes. You will always have that in your head yet when you see yourself getting smaller, your portion size isn't as important anymore. It takes a while for the grehlin to really decrease...but when it does you really won't have a desire for tons of food anyway. Good luck with everything and I hope you the best!! -
Congrats and good luck!!

I got my sleeve done Friday the 17th and I'm having trouble with the withdrawl from food too. I can't believe they're letting you eat bananas and protein drinks!! wow....I'm on clear liquids for 2 weeks then full liquids for a week or two then I get the baby food Be grateful you can eat but it will help keep some weight on. Good luck on your journey!! you will get what you wanted I promise. -
Is The Pain Of A Drain, Being Winded And Out Of Breathe Normal?
blueluna75 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
After my surgery I noticed I had 5 incisions, they tried to put in the drain with no avail and had to put it in on the other side. Where they closed it during surgery it was very yellow and purple. It's been a week and I'm having a lot of pain, like being punched in the ribs where the drains were. The pain goes all the way into my back. Also there is a tightness on my diaphram that makes me very winded in a matter of 20ft. or so. I can't catch my breathe for a very long time and the heartburn is killer. Has anyone else been through this or know how to avoid this? Thank you- 1 reply
