Dr. Steven Clark

Dr. Steve Clark in Indy is terrific! There is TeamBariatrics in Goshen, but I do not know if they do fills for other than their own patients. Good luck.

claramae...it appears that is what happened; I got the MRSA following complications with lap band. Had port removed, did another culture and it showed up. Put me on Zyvox. One week later did diagnostic. Was on Zyvox for apx. two weeks. No more pus, slime or drainage from wound site. I packed and cleaned the wound myself with weekly check ups. One thing about Zyvox...you have NO hunger, nothing sounds good.

I developed a MRSA staff infection. I took Zyvox and it cleared. The pills are VERY expensive, but my insurance took care of it. Other antibiotics don't touch it. Have a culture run so you know what it is. Again, Zyvox...600mg.

liberattor replied to rktown's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am two weeks post band and am totally not hungry ever. Makes me sick to think about food. No cravings. -
How do you know for sure what type of band you have? Doesn't each band box have an id number? Somehow mine didn't have one. Am suspicious.

I was banded in Mexico. I wish I could have afforded to have been banded here in the US. I was given pain meds. -
post op sleeping problem
liberattor replied to jenuse's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Many like sleeping in a recliner. My bed is high off the ground, and that seems to help. The first week it was a bit difficult pulling myself upright. I tried to roll over to the right and then push myself up. I'm two weeks out. -
I had no problems getting through secruity check points. Have fun.

My contact person said the Gas X was of no use since the gas was in the body cavity and not the digestive tract. -

"Experience" by Awareness herbal products. No, I don't sell it or have any connections with the company. It just works for me as a great cleanse without cramping. -
I was banded 9 days ago. I am 61. Good luck to you on your weight loss journey.
-
Hi I had trouble the last leg of the trip. My ankles were badly swollen and my big belly hurt so much I could hardly sit still. Maybe it is easier if you are younger.
-
Hi I was also banded with the smaller band. Good luck to you. I was banded May 28...still poofey with big stomach. Each day gets better. Good luck to you all.
-
I agree, take someone with you...very helpful. Also take credit card for emergency funding if you need the extra care.

liberattor replied to deb24's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded May 28 and stayed in the hospital 3 nights. Each day I am stronger and the "what have I done" feeling fades. Good luck.
