Revisions? Anyone?
jmarruda replied to WASaBubbleButt's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I am so glad that this thread is here, and that there are people like me. I felt like a complete failure with my band, lost 40lbs since March of 2007. Looking to lose about 120lbs total...obviously I have a way to go... I've been thinking about revising from band to RNY...My mother has had great success and my band doctor offered to do the revision. Just a bit scared about the whole thing at the moment! -

Not too much to report for this week. Just been walking. I skipped spin class on tuesday in favor of some overtime at work....need the $$$$$$!!!! But I've been walking daily. Just got back from my hour long walk with doggy and I'm super sweaty!

Anyone use Alli while being banded?
jmarruda replied to detroitgirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
yeah, pretty nasty. And you think after 2 days, huh, this isn't so bad. I can do this. I don't know what everyone is talking about....and then all of a sudden, you run screaming for the toilet!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
I took my bike out last summer before I started spinning and I couldn't even ride it....I had no balance and just before I started to pedal I fell over in slow motion.......I'm thinking about trying it again, but not for a while....going to stick to spin class for now!!!!!

Anyone use Alli while being banded?
jmarruda replied to detroitgirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Doc suggested I try it due to slow weight loss. I tried it for about a week but didn't like the messy side effects. I made sure that during that week I was consuming less than 1200 calories and less than 25 grams of fat each day, but the side effects were still too messy for me... -
nice article.....LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I did my spin class last night and it was great. First of all, I was completely out of shape, so I had to sit at some points when we were supposed to be out of the saddle, but that'll come back over time. Secondly, I'm absolutely thrilled because I'm not as sore today. I thought I wouldn't be able to get out of bed, but I jumped out like nothing happened!!!! I feel so much better too. I really need to continue this...

That sounds pretty good! You're burning fat and gaining strength at the same time!!!
-
It sounds like you are working on some kind of program...what is it? I'm interested...
-

I would never be able to do skull crushers with 85lbs of weight!!!!! You ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Are the numbers to the left of the X pounds lifted??? If so, that's AWESOME!!!!!!
-
I LOVE this!
-
I agree, you really have to list what else your eating. If your high cal shake is satisfying you enough to make it through lunch, then your good!
-
Ok, just got back! 45 minute walk with doggie!
-
That sounds like a lot for one meal, but it depends what else you're eating...
-
Yowza!!!! You're doing awesome!!!!! Congrats on the run!!!
-
luluc - thats awesome! My stats won't look like that for a couple of weeks!!!!!

Wedding is in August....Dress fitting is in June....Need to lose 30lbs by then!!!!!! I missed you guys soooo much. I would often lurk but I didn't have the cajones to come out because I was being such a slacker and you guys have been doing sooooo good! I had a good long talk with the nutritionist and I'm on a new diet plan that I'm quite satisfied with. And I have been walking, a lot, but I'm heading back to the gym tomorrow night for my first spin class in a while...I can't wait! Pretty sad that I actually gained 4lbs over these past few months, but since starting the new diet plan on Friday, I've already lost 3 of those 4lbs, so hopefully I'm on my way to a successful summer!

Hey Everyone I took a small hiatus (only four months??!!!???) but I'm back. I'm committed to eating better and getting back to the crazy workout schedule I had during the winter. Tomorrow is my first spin class since January and I am so frightened yet so excited!!!!!!!!
-
Hey Everyone.....So I took some time off (ok, ok, 4 months worth of time!) but anyways, I got a good slap from my nutritionist and doctor, and I'm back to spinning. My first class since January is tomorrow night....and I actually can't wait!!!!

So one year ago today, I was just waking up after surgery. And I felt like crap. Today, I feel great. I'm only down 45lbs since the surgery, and I feel like I could have done so much better, but at the same time, I'm soooo glad that the 45lbs is gone for good! Happy Anniversary Marchies!

Hey Peeps, sorry, but I've fallen off the exercise wagon! I haven't worked out in a while, but the good thing is I'm still losing, so I'm not gonna complain right now! Wedding planning has been super super crazy! Bought the dress, I can't believe they had one that fit me! So next weekend we're getting the dresses for the girls! I'll be checking in again!
