I know your probably dyin Deanna, but awesome!!!!!

I think that the reason why we had the surgery in the first place is because we have these types of eating issues. Now that I have the band, the binging on sugar can't happen as much as it used to. And if I do slip up now (which is often), I don't gain back like I used to, I just maintain. If I want to lose weight, I know I have to be good, but at least its not as hard as it was preband. You guys are all doing so good!

I love when something is too big!

I was on wellbutrin for a year for depression and anxiety, and it didn't help me with weight loss. It also didn't make me gain weight like some of those types of medications can...

Hey everyone! Aug 7, Tues, 46 min elliptical. 601 calories...

I have tried out some hatha yoga dvd's at home and haven't had any issues, but this may be a good question for the doc. I'd like to know, considering I liked the dvd's and would like to continue to do them.

Hey Marchies! Hope everyones weekend went well. Mine was ok, bad eating both days, and no gym...although I did get sweaty with the dog walking around the neighborhood last night. My aunt is getting her lap band placed right now. I can't wait to go visit her in the hospital tonight. Even though I haven't been losing weight as fast as I'd like, I'm still in love with my band. It has taught me to stop when I'm full, and not when I need to unbutton my pants...I'm sure my aunt will grow to love her band too!

Nothing on Saturday, but 45 min walk around neighborhood with dog...have I mentioned my neighborhood is hilly? Me and the dog were sweating it up!

For those of you addicted to exercise or who now love it

I was part of the second group up until about 2 months ago. I stopped seeing results from just the lack of food, and I knew at one point or another, I was gonna have to get my butt in gear. And its true, even though I haven't lost much since I've been working out, my mood has done a 180, and I feel like even though the scale isn't moving as fast as I want it to, my body is looking a lot better and I look better in clothing. I also want to be in that first group, better mood, positive attitude, and feeling like I have a healthier relationship with food, because I have a healthier relationship with exercise. The other thing that keeps me going is the fact that I know that exercise is good for my heart. I know that physically I'm in better condition now than I was two months ago. I've been checking my heart rates, and monitoring them, and I don't feel like I'm going to die when I get off a machine!:whoo: -
Thats great news...I was hoping you weren't one of those 600 calories is all I need people. You have helped to motivate me to work out, and if I heard you ate 600 calories I think I would have an anxiety attack! For me, it seems the weight isn't coming off how I'd like, but I'm not gonna give up on the exercise because I feel a lot better, and I know I look a lot better, even though I haven't lost that much weight in the past few weeks...Thanks for motivating me!

I'm too embarrassed to even try the stairmaster. I'm afraid I'll jump on, sink, and not be able to climb up! I don't think mastered is too strong of a word, that's awesome!

I wouldn't say that I'm addicted to exercise now, (I hated it before), but I often find myself thinking about it a lot. Like if I haven't gone to the gym in a couple days in a row, I get bogged down by when I will be able to go again. And also, when I am at the gym on a cardio machine, I always think to myself, I'll just go another 10 minutes, and when I've reached 60 minutes I think, I'll just hop on another machine until I'm absolutely exhausted...But I think my relationship with exercise is a lot more normal than it was. Before the surgery I would hop on a cardo machine, do twenty minutes, and not go back for another 2 months (could that be the reason I never lost weight???). -
losingjusme - you so inspire me to get off my butt and workout. I was thinking of hiring a personal trainer for a couple of workouts. Was it really worth it. I kept talking myself out of it thinking that maybe I should wait until I've dropped more weight!

Hey Deanna - I know we're in the exercise thread but I was wondering what your eating is like. I'm trying to figure out if I'm still eating too much. I track it in fitday and I'm eating approx 1500 calories a day. How many are you taking in. You've definately lost a good amount of weight so far! I'm jealous. At my 3rd fill I felt like I was filled too much, so I asked the doc to take half out. But then I felt like I could still eat a lot so I asked for another fill about a month later. I'm only .4cc's away from where I felt too filled, but I wonder if she adds that in next time I see her if it will feel the same (too filled) or if it will help me lose better...

Ok...Wed the 1st. 30 minutes stationary bike (7.25miles) and 33 minutes elliptical. 700+ calories burned! Yay!
-
Congrats tammyj - 15lbs in one month. Thats awesome. I haven't tried the stairmaster yet...I'm scared. How long do you go on for? Calories burned??
-
You are such an inspiration to me. What a great success in only a year!
-
I hope so, I really want to lose the weight...

Thanks, I can't wait to make a dent in it. It seems so far away right now!
