Tonights the big night. Workout 1, Week 3. I'm skirred! That 3 minute run is gonna kill me, I already know. Why isn't there a 2 minute run? Oh well, I'll let you know how it goes, unless I don't make it!

Well, I have to admit that I haven't been to spin class in a couple of weeks. The instructor that taught the class that I went to annoyed me on a number of occasions and I haven't been since the last incident. Then another instructor quit, and she was in the time slot that I was planning on going to. So I talked to personal trainer today and she's going to switch me from mondays and saturdays to mondays and wednesdays so I can go on saturdays class now. I really hope they get another instructor. The one that quit was teaching like 5 or 6 classes...

Well, now that I've read this, I may just stick to week two. Jeez. I'm skirred!!!:nervous -
Oh yeah, I forgot, I was so down on myself this weekend that this morning I decided to measure myself. I took the measurements that the trainer gave me on SEPTEMBER 1, and noticed that I've lost over 10 inches!?!?!?!?! Thats amazing. I still can't get over the fact that I haven't lost anything on the scale though. Oh well!

Stefanie, don't you think she needs a snorkel? In my mental picture, she definately has a snorkel, and flippers...
-
Thanks for the lovely mental picture. That's enough to make me stay away from brownies!

I'll usually run two times on a treadmill and one time outside. The first workout of the week is on a treadmill, the second is outside, which where I run is kinda hilly, and the worst workout, then the third workout is on the treadmill and really feels easy. Usually the second workout and I take about 20-30 minutes to really stretch out too. I don't get to stretch everyday so I try to take the time after that session. I'm going to try week 3 this week, but I'm reworking the days so I'll do tues, thurs, and sat or sun, instead of mon, wed, and sat...I see my trainer on mondays now, and I just can't go straight from work, to trainer for an hour, and do c25k all before I eat dinner. Way too much. Its probably better to workout every day instead of 3hrs 1 day, then nothing for 2 days in a row anyways. -

I think I'm going to decide which week I'm doing when I get on the treadmill tomorrow night. I'll have to let you all know then. I just peeked at week 3 and the 3 minute run is freaking me out! -
Oh, and yesterday 1hr with trainer, workout 3 of week 2 for c25k. Looks like whos is in the advanced group. I'm not sure I'll be moving on to week 3 yet!

I feel better. I saw the trainer yesterday and she told me the same thing. And that if I keep working with her, yes I am building muscle, but I can only build so much, and if I keep doing the same thing, I will burn all the fat off anyways. She was kinda mad because I was so fixated on the scale. I'm throwing it out right now, and I'm only weighing in during doctors visits from now on.

Thanks for the post, I'm still feeling kinda shitty, but better than the crying jag. That's gotta be whats going on with me. I didn't start working out until the weight loss slowed, around july, figuring that would give it a boost. I lost a whole 4lbs in 2 months so I decided to step it up by getting a trainer. I have been steadily losing 2lbs every month since then as well. Its funny, I know all the "muscle weighs more", "your building muscle and burning fat" etc, etc, but it is still really frustrating. I can't imagine that I am going to lose 2lbs a month for the rest of my journey, if thats the case its going to take me another 5 years to get this weight off. I'm getting married next august and I was really hoping to lose approx 50 more pounds. Even if I'm building valuable muscle, is it worth sticking with the trainer when I know I'm only guaranteed a 2lb a month loss??? I know for a fact right now my band can't go any tighter and the doc is less than impressed with the weight loss. :help:

I've tried both early morning, mid afternoon, and late at night and for me it doesn't make a difference when I do, just that it gets done. For now, I've been working out right after work, 430 or so. No matter when you work out, you'll have so much more energy. I find that I have a hard time sleeping if I don't work out for 2 days in a row...

I know that exercise is just part of a healthy lifestyle, but it is so annoying that from march to july I lost about 35lbs without trying, and now I feel like I'm not going above, but I'm going way beyond anything I had planned to, and the numbers aren't budging. Everytime I've seen the doc since July its been a 2lb loss. What is that? She's tried to fill me numerous time from 2.0 to 2.2 and I can't even hold down liquids at that fill level so she always has to bring me back down to 2.0. I know I'm whining, but I'm just super frustrated. I have the personal trainer tomorrow and I'm going to ask her if she will measure me since its been 4 weeks since the last time. I just feel so much smaller, just since running, and I even got a complement from the boyfriend (and he never notices) and thats really the only reason why I jumped on the scale. When I go home, I'm throwing it out. By the way, I forgot to congradulate you on your loss. Geez, enough me me me already. Awesome job whos...:whoo:

I'm just really frustrated. I feel like all this exercise is working against me. I really don't get it.

I felt strong, up until about a half hour ago, I just had a meltdown at work and started crying like a baby, and I mean baby. I am starting to act like I'm need to be institutionalized! Ahhhhh!

Thats from the pizza... I'm actually totally depressed. I stepped on the scale too, and I probably shouldn't have. I resolved about a month and a half ago to not step on the home scale anymore, I almost threw it out, it made me that crazy. I just use the docs scale, I usually see her every six weeks anyways. Well, I jumped on today and noticed absolutely no change. WTH. I feel like I have been working so hard, and the junk food has absolutely changed. I was eating junk just about every day for a while (I was in a slight rut), and lately its only been one to two times per week. We're not eating at restaurants anymore, I've traded ground hamburger for ground turkey, no potatoes, no rice, no bread, lots of fruit and veggies. I even stopped eating so much cheese (mmmm, I love cheese). WTH?!!?!?! I know for sure I'm getting smaller, I'm in a smaller size and everything. Why won't the numbers move? I really try hard to not think numbers and think more about sizes, and how my clothes feel, and measuring, but for crying out loud, can't the scale move just a bit? Arg. Sorry, I'm really frustrated! I am so ready to cry!
