    November Exercise!

    I was going to say the same thing, I need to lay off the sweet stuff, and I may just make it a new years resolution. I never make resolutions, but I just can't do it during holiday time. I really don't want to set myself up for failure and make myself all depressed for absolutely no reason. But that doesn't mean that I'm going to splurge either. You got me. I couldn't post earlier, had a really hectic morning. Had to go do a field check and then I got a new chair for my desk at work, except it kind of stunk, so it took about an hour to test drive all the chairs to find one that I liked. I know it sounds crazy, but the company won't buy us new chairs, the just recycle from people who have retired so the chairs are all older than me, and its hard to pick a good one.

    Big Mac, Band Style

    Just thought I'd post my dinner tonight. I warmed up a boca burger, and chopped it up and threw over some romaine lettuce with some onions. Then I made a dressing of low fat mayo, mustard, ketchup, and relish (about 1tb each) and tossed it all together. Sort of tasted like a big mac, without the cheese and bread, and it was actually very filling...:hungry:

  5. ok losing, you've convinced me. Next time I market I'm going to load up on some goodies and try it out. Do you try to keep it low fat as well?
  6. wow, those are some big numbers, since july I've been losing approx 2lbs a month. Not quite what I was expecting if you know what I mean. Now do you do atkins, or just try to eat less than 35 grams per day...

  13. Thats awesome losing...I figured out why my figures were so high on my heart rate monitor, I didn't set my %HR right. Now the figures are pretty close to yours. I wish they were really as high as before!

    Well, it looks like I am not going to make my exercise goal this month, but I did have the flu for a week and a half, so I am glad that I made it to where I am considering. I'm a little nervous now about holiday time. I think november and december are going to be really tough months for me!

    Sophie, every doc is different so you may want to check. My doc doesn't require going back to liquids, some docs want to see a patient on liquids for 3 days. Try some warm soup for dinner and play it by ear tomorrow, or double check with doc...

    HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!:whoo::whoo::whoo::whoo::whoo::whoo: That is awesome! I often think to myself, if I didn't exercise I probably could have lost more poundage by now, but when I got my 2 month numbers back, I know that I look smaller now than if the weight had come off the scale. Its unbelievable!!! Great job Di, you are totally kicking butt!!!
  19. Hey D, welcome back!!! I'm so excited to see you again, well, I've seen you on the cycling thread, I read it just about daily (you guys crack me up) but I wasn't sure how the whole exercise thing was going. I knew you were doing couch to 5k and I was going to ask how it was going...Nice pic, by the way. I just got back from workout 1 week 3. Holy crap does 3 minutes of continuous running suck! Ok so I thought I was dying at one point. And I was running so slow, that it probably looked rediculous. I know I can walk twice as fast as I was running! Anyways, the part that I found the worst was jogging for 90 seconds, walking for 90 seconds, then jogging for 3 minutes. That 90 second walking break totally didn't seem like enough time. But I am super proud of myself because during the 3 minute segments I didn't stop once. So excited. But whos, I have to say, I really might just stay at week 3 for a couple of weeks, otherwise I may just die. I'd rather that not happen right now!

    Marchies in October!

    Mrs Husker - I know I won't make my goal this month, I had the flu in the beginning of the month and I really couldn't do anything for a week. Anyways, I've been doing a combination of running, spinning, elliptical, and strength training with a personal trainer. It totally made me plateau; in 2 months I haven't lost a single pound, but I've lost 10 inches, and I know I'm getting a lot stronger, so I'm not too worried...
