You will definately get to the cardio kickboxing by january for sure! Just keep at it!:clap2: -
Lately I've been craving things that I never liked before. Hated eggrolls, 2 days ago I ate a whole one. Hated olives, at a jar of them last week. Hated diced tomatoes on top of things, now I eat them all the time. I'm not sure if my tastes are changing or what. I know I'm definately not pregnant!

I'm doing the couch to 5k program and I'm super fat and out of shape....But after a few weeks, all the jiggling stopped and I have really firmed up. Try out week one and see how you do. You never know what may happen. I never would have thought that I'd be "running"!

Holy Bologna Nursey, You've worked out over 3hrs today. Geez, I could never beat that. Yikes... Ok, 1hr personal trainer (upper body), 10 minute warm up on stationary bike, 45 minute walk with doggy. I'm tired... Oh yeah, I talked to a doc about my heel spur and he told me before I come in to get a pair of arch supports for my shoes, and wait a couple weeks to see if it would help. It totally helped all day long, throughout all of the exercise, except for the walk. Do you think my foot is just tired? Or should I give it more time. The doc also suggested taking a few weeks off from working out, but I told him no way, and my trainer seconds that notion!

Good Luck KarenG. I went sunday to the class with the instructor who is annoying. And thats exactly what it was. I was bored and I know I didn't push as hard as I normally do. I was disappointed in myself, but I know that its because of the instructor. I'm usually the only person there on sundays, every once in a while theres another person that shows, and all of the other instructors have 15+ in their classes. Just goes to show, I'm not the only one that is annoyed by her!

Di, you are so not a slacker. You're moving, so that is not slacking! De, holy crap, 8 minutes???? That's awesome. I'm still at 3 and too scared to move on to week 4. Yikes. Ok, yesterday 1hr spin class. Tonight, 1hr with trainer, upper body. Ouch! I'm still sore from Saturday.

How do I feed my spouse?
jmarruda replied to zippykat's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Honestly the only time I found it challenging was when I was on liquids and mushies. Now I make similar things to what we used to eat, and I just eat a lot less. The only thing that I have changed is I substitute ground turkey for ground beef in a lot of dishes and it tastes great. All I do is add some steak seasoning to it and we can't tell the difference. And mrdowntown is right. If hubby doesn't like what your cooking, he should be able to at least microwave something..... -
hmmmmm.....maybe I will then!

Workout 2 week 3 complete. Will be repeating next week for a total of 5 workouts at week 3. Peeked at week 4 and almost fainted.....5 minutes of running?????????? Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! -
Oh yeah, forgot to add. I did a little extra today because I know me and bf will not be moving at all, we're getting the nor'easter and it is nasty outside! You know what that means. All day movies and popcorn. Good thing I bought the lo cal popcorn....

Kaydotrn, I use the podcasts as well, and love them. I'm so glad losingjusme found them for us. And don't be too anxious about week 2, because week 3 is a bitch! I'm repeating it for sure. Ok, 1 1/2hr with personal trainer, legs and abs (460 crunches!!!) Week 3 workout 2 of c25k. Only got to do it twice this week. Bum knee. 10 minute stationary bike for a grand total of 1724 calories burned. I love my HRM.

Daddy, all that extra credit is catching up to you. Running 5 times a week is a lot for a beginner, and I noticed my knee was all squeeky the other day and I haven't done it since. I was going to run yesterday, but I still didn't feel right. I'm going to start back on week 3 on mon or tues. Take it easy with the running for a couple of days, and swimming will definately help, so do some of that. I know I'm not Jachut, JulieNYC, or Chickie, but I've spent a lot of time reading what they had to say, so I think I may be giving some OK advice! (Maybe not?!?!) Losing could probably help a lot too! -

DITTO!!!!! -
Honestly, I was going to, but I'm sooo not an elite biker babe like you guys. The closest I've come to biking is spinning. I actually took out my 18 speed bike from when I was a kid and fell off it! I have no balance!
-
Ain't that the truth! But honestly, what would the rest of us do without you lurking in here all day?
-
And thats why you're on my list! Really though, I read the bicyling thread every day and crack up. You guys are hysterical!
-
I wouldn't think it would be an issue. The only concern that I would have is getting hit right where my port was, which would probably make in tender for a while. But other than that, have fun!
-
Yeah, I've heard of this too. Ditto to above post, thanks kagoscuba. Also, I think if theres too much weight on the ball of your foot, your center of balance can be off while lifting weights as opposed to most of the weight being on your heel. The shox are great sneaks, especially for running, but I'd rather have something flatter like a cross trainer instead for weightlifting.
-
Yeah daddy, you are slacking
-
Nursey, I just noticed. You've lost over 150lbs.....I can't believe it. I never looked at your starting weight. That's sooo unbelievable!!!! That in and of itself is awesome. Congrats on the loss, even though I know you want a little more!
