I was going to say that too....Maybe I spend too much time hanging out here!

Ok, week 3 workout ?, I could only do half again. I'm thinking about stepping backwards to week 2 and starting again from there. 1hr with personal trainer (upper body).

Marchies in Nov. (The Month of The Turkey)
jmarruda replied to Jeni 85's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I sometimes wonder if its because we're not posting as much anymore...It always motivated me to read how everyone else is doing. -
Well, to be honest, I'm not so sure I'm at my sweet spot, but if the doc fills me up any more, even just 1cc, I can't hold down liquids, so I end up where I am, 2.0ccs in my 4cc band. But I also feel like I'm eating easy foods, instead of protein dense foods, then veggies, etc.

Good way of thinking....

Dems...it looks like you're only 24lbs away from goal. 24LBS!!!! It sucks when you get stuck in a rut, but don't dwell on it. Like OH Juli said, think of the reasons that you had surgery in the first place. You want to be healthy and happy, and be there for your family....And 24lbs is soooo close. Also, it sounds like a lot of the marchies are in the same boat. I know I am. And I'm going back to my old habits. My problem is that I think I can eat whatever I want just because I went to the gym. Not true. And we all know that, that's why we're here..... So fresh start, you're going to step away from the junk, slowly. Put down the cookie. Go for a walk, even if its not a workout walk, just a stroll. It'll help you get your mind off the cookies! -
How Many Have Lost 100lbs In 6 Months???
jmarruda replied to princesst's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thanks losing, I do notice that I'm fuller with the protein and fat, then I am with any other combo with carbs. I'm going to work on cutting them out! -
Now, do you just eat until your full, or do you watch your carb intake, calorie intake, or both?

How Many Have Lost 100lbs In 6 Months???
jmarruda replied to princesst's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I just posted something about this in the november exercise thread...I have to ask, with eating approx 20 carbs per day, do you feel like you don't have enough energy to work out? I mentioned the low carb thing to my trainer and she told me not to do it. But my body responded so well to atkins in the past, I'm thinking it may be the only thing that works... -
Oh yeah, And I'm purchasing a whole case of losingjusme's atkins caramel latte shakes...

Ohhh, I obviously was a little confused! Ok, so I've been thinking about why my weight loss is so slow, and I'm working out a whole hell of a lot (not in the past week or so, but overall), and I'm thinking that my eating is not thaaaaat bad...but I think it is. I'm starting a diet overhaul and I promised myself not to do it until January because of the holidays, etc. But why wait? I can do it and take a few days off here or there for holidays, why does every day need to be a food fest? I think I'm going to go low carb, it seems to work for a lot of people on here, and I never realized how much sugar I am actually consuming....a lot! I'm shocked. I'm not one to write down my total intake, really annoys me. I tried it a few days, and noticed I was consuming approx 1800 calories, which doesn't seem huge to me. But I really paid attention to WHAT I was eating, WHAT those 1800 calories were, and they were mostly sugar, or white carbs, yuck. So, after I go grocery shopping this weekend, I'm stocking up on high protein, lower carb junk. And I'm getting rid of the white fluffly junk....

Wow Daddy, 65lbs is sooo awesome. I'm hoping to lose that in 1 year, let alone 4 months....Wow. I'm going to the gym tonight for another try at c25k, but I'm not sure exactly which week I'm going to try. I voted for week 3, but it annoys me to run for 90 seconds now. I feel like, if I'm going to run, I should just run. Even though, thats sometimes how people get hurt...I'll have to think about it... -
Marchies in Nov. (The Month of The Turkey)

I love my personal trainer, she really kicks my butt, and it makes me accountable. Even on the weeks when I'm having a "bad" week, I still see her 3 times a week for an hour each. So thats not too bad. The trainers pregnant right now, and she's due in Feb/March, so I was trying to find someone else to take over for the 2-3 months that she'd be out, but I don't think I'm actually going to. I think I'm just going to put in some hardcore cardio time to try to lose the flubber, then get back with her late spring/summer to tone up for the big day. The wedding countdown is on, and I have to fit in a dress....hope they have enough fabric! -

Article from MSNBC.com Your workout did what ? - Smart Fitness - MSNBC.com Q: My feet go numb below the ankles when doing certain exercises, such as the elliptical trainer, step aerobics and even urban rebounding. How can I make it stop? A: Are your shoelaces too tight? That's the first thing to check. Restrictive shoes could pinch a nerve, says Matt Werd, a podiatrist in Lakeland, Fla., and president of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. If that's not the culprit, another possible explanation is something called "exercise-induced compartment syndrome," he says. During exercise, muscles may increase in volume and exert pressure on blood vessels and nerves, causing numbness as well as pain, skin-color changes and poor circulation. If your feet start to fall asleep, switch activities and see if that helps, Werd advises. "If symptoms persist, follow up with a sports-medicine specialist for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan," he says.

Losing, everybody has crap days. I had one last week where I had to just stop in the middle of the workout. It sucks. I keep feeling like running should just be so natural, but for me its not. And its something that I have to work on. You're better than me, because I haven't tried it since. I feel like just quitting the whole exercise thing all together. Its just one of those days for me (or weeks....). It takes a lot of perseverance to push through the bad times. Take it back down to week 2 and try again! -
Thats true, if you have animals, they will look at you weird. My dog just cocks her head from side to side, like I'm crazy. And when I'm trying to do pushups or situps, she's sniffing my face, and won't stop, unless I lock her out of the room!
