Just Got Home From Surgery And I Am A Crying Mess! Up 5Lbs!
Artsy replied to DanityChai's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You know what? I've been home from surgery for 6 days and I've refused to weigh myself---first because I am do bloated & 2nd because I don't want to see I've gained weigt. I'm waiting to weigh tomorrow at my dr office for first appt. i know it is exciting to see the numbers on the scale to move but please don't be a slave of the scale & daily weighing! You will lose pounds & inches! As far as your crying and being emotional, I think that's normal. Blessings to you & have a good recovery! Walk & sip!!! -
You are adorable and not obese!!! I know about those numbers--- according to national averages & because of my height, I should weigh something like 109# --- but I would look like a skeleton!!!! You look wonderful & I can tell you've worked hard at it!

Lisa's, thanks for your feedback. For a second I thought my dr forgot to put one in!

Welcome Prizzy. You will find the people here friendly, informative and caring. We're glad you joined us. -
I was speaking with my sister who will be having the sleeve in July--she asked me about my drain & when it would be removed. I told her that I didn't have a drain at all. The dr didn't put one. Is that unusual? Dr did tell my daughter I had very little bleeding. I hope yours feels better. Have you called your dr office to tell them?

My Progress So Far :)
Artsy replied to Brockcrawford's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey Lolly, I was sleeved May 8th. So far so good. I know about trying to get all the liquids in. My doc told me right before I was wheeled into surgery to not worry about protein this week. So far I eat soup broths, sf jello, water, crystal light --- you know the drill. I'm walking more and more each day, probably up to a couple of miles a day. I don't want to weigh myself just yet; I'm waiting til my doc appt this Wednesday. I've been able to get out of the house each day to run errands or pick up deli soups. I strain the soups, but the different broths are delicious. I'm going to make a tortilla soup tomorrow (of course strained). Starting Thursday I will introduce protein drinks. Do you feel the liquids going down your throat? Wishing your wonderful recovery. Hugs& prayers going your way. Bridgett -
I'm wondering if his phone ran out of juice and he doesn't have a charger in the hospital with him. Jimmy, even though we can't reach you---we're praying & pulling for you.
