    New Body, New Challenges

I can't wait til my butt gets boney. Was sleeved on May 8 and have been dealing with a butt so big I could set an extra place setting for Thanksgiving dinner on it! And I'm less than 5 ft tall! The butt and thighs are my nightmare.

    Pre-Op Diet

My doctor didn't require a pre-op diet. I asked him about it and he said it wasn't necessary. I'm 1 week out and am doing fine-- have lost 7 lbs since surgery.
  10. May 7......Houston, TX. Thanks to all of you for your best wishes and support for this Chapter in my Journey. Wishing others the best in dealing with insurance! Ii'm looking forward to the next Chapter and the next and the next. I'll post my progress on this board. Xoxo
  11. I feeling wonderful. Weighed at dr office. Lost 7 lbs--I know it is Water weight & the next few pounds will be water weight, but that's the most weight I've lost in years! So happy I made this decision. Can I ask my sleeve buddies out there who've jusy been sleeved, what the are eating on week two? I'll also take a look under the recipe section. The nutritionist said I could eat mushies: mashed potatoes, mashed cooked carrots, mashed sweet potato, tuna w/ Miracle Whip, laughing cow soft cheese, creamy Soups, etc. Wishing you all continued success with your surgery.
  12. Raven, so gad you are feeling better each hour! You are so correct about this surgery not being the easy way out.
  13. Delta, you will do fine! As soon as they give you the good "juice" you will not remember a thing. I'm praying for you and sending you warm hugs. Today is what it is all about and the first day towards your weight loss goal. I'll be checking this thread for an update on you later.

  16. Raven, So sorry you are naustious. It will get better, dear sleever. You are so in my prayers for relief. I did not eat protein my first week. The dr told me not to br concerned about it this week. The hospital served me water, sf Popsicles, tea, and sf jello. I hope they are giving you lots of nausea meds. We are pulling for you. Warm hugs and prayers being rushed you way.

Hello Jimmy, So glad you are under doctors care and in the hospital with the professionals. You have a lot of love from folks who don't even know you---we even had a sort of vigil for you last night. Get better and keep us posted on your progress, friend. Pain

I just noticed the "online" word on Jimmy's profile too. Wished someone would respond to us on Jimmy's current condition.
  21. P.s. good luck with your WLS journey!
  22. Gene, I also stopped drinking dt cokes price to surgery--I loved me some dt cokes!!! But post surgery I cn still get some caffeine by drinking tea. My next door neighbor had the sleeve and occasionally drinks carbonated beverages, but I don't recommend it to anyone! Giving up dt cokes was one of the things I told myself I would never do again after surgery because I had an addiction.
  23. You will feel even better when you get home. I started recovering much better from home. Wishing you the best and sending you hugs for your journey home.
  24. Fox bins, When I can cross my legs as you described --- that will be a huge milestone for me. I've dreamed of being able to cross my legs for years.
