Sf Popsicles Are Amazing!
Lilee84 replied to Lilee84's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
LOL... At 15 calories a pop I doubt they'll halt my weight loss, but I get it -
What Are You Looking Like?
Lilee84 replied to Anewlifeforme23's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have lost 50lbs at 2 1/2 mos post-op but I've pretty much been stalled for the last 3 weeks. Most people notice in my face the weight that I've lost. -
I know I've been slacking on the topic of the day lately - I'm sorry! I know a lot of you really look forward to them, I've just been crazy busy at work lately and I've actually been working. I know, me working at work? It's unheard of, but it's true! I'll try and do better from now on And now on to Thursdays thinker! Change and growth take place when a person has risked himself and dares to become involved with experimenting with his own life. Herbert Otto

Better late than never, right? It's FFFC time! And this week's FFFC will be voted on by your fellow VSG'ers to see who's got the most unique/creative/scandalous (in a good way!) confession! Your confessions can be food/sleeve related or not, so let's hear it! What's your dirty little secret of the week? ETA: We'll be voting Monday so you have the weekend to get your confessions in. Here's mine: When my sons father (I affectionately refer to him as Spermy... Short for Spermy McDonor ) came and dropped our son off on Sunday, I purposely made sure that I had showered, blow dried my hair, put on fresh makeup and a fresh spritz of his favorite perfume so that when he saw me in my slimmer form and form fitted clothes, he'd feel a sharp stab in his gut and realize what a moron he is for 1) being such a prick and 2) calling me a fat effing biatch a few weeks ago. I don't ever want him back, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy torturing him a bit I know my plan was a huge success when he did a double take when he saw me and lingered just a moment too long when he was kissing our son goodbye. It feels good.

Help- I'm Not Feeling The Restriction
Lilee84 replied to LindaL's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have to respectfully disagree with this. Some pills are time release and therefore crushing them would significantly reduce their effectiveness and could have potentially detrimental effects if too much of a medication is released into the blood stream at once. Please, don't ever crush your pills unless your Dr specifically instructs you to. -
Help- I'm Not Feeling The Restriction
Lilee84 replied to LindaL's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's totally normal - You won't feel the restriction until you start eating dense protein. Very few actually feel the restriction while on liquids or purees. -
Frequently Asked Questions

I'll try and get them posted this week. Thanks Dooter! -
I think I might be the only one here who wasn't put on liquid/chewable medications/multivitamins. I'd say just go get a regular multivitamin

Eating Out... Restaurant... Fast Food.
Lilee84 replied to sabrina140's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I eat out frequently as well. Here's a few of my favorites: McD's - egg mcmuffin minus the muffin, grilled chicken breast, no bun BK - grilled chicken breast, no bun Chipotle or Tijuana Flats - grilled chicken bowl with everything but rice - this is about 4 or 5 meals for me Wendy's - Cesar salad no croutons Pollo Tropical - Grilled chicken salad - this is usually lunch and dinner. Could be more but the dressing makes it all wilty and gross Zaxbys - naked wings 4 piece -
Just had my first slice of pizza post op... It was thin crust and I ate everything but the crust and it was delicious! It was killing me that my family ordered pizza and I've been smelling it for the last hour, chugging crystal light trying to ignore the craving. I lost that battle but tomorrow is a new day, I'll start fresh in the morning

Oh, and I walked 10miles today at Disney so I feel like my little indulgence was well compensated for. Yeah?

How Soon After Vg Did You Go Back To Work?
Lilee84 replied to Origical's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My 18month old was out of daycare while I was out and I had no help during the day, so I guess you could say I had 3 days off? I went back to work exactly two weeks post op. -
225! That's a total loss this week of 7#!

Does anyone remember hearing something about nuts being a no-no food? I feel like I may have heard something about it in my pre-op info session, but as I sit here eating a handful of Emerald Sweet & Salty dark chocolate Peanut Butter mixed nuts, I can't for the life of me remember what it was... Anybody?

Perhaps A Disgusting Topic But Advice Always Appreciated
Lilee84 replied to gettinthinner's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The foamy saliva is what we usually refer to as the slimes/slimys. It's totally normal. In my experience generally happens when you eat and drink at the same time and your sleeve is full or if you've eaten too fast. -
I'm officially 50lbs down as of a couple days ago! Woohoo!!!!! I've been stalled for about 3 weeks but I stepped on the scale the other day and had lost 4 more lbs, putting my total (including pre0op diet loss) at 50! I'm exactly 30lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight and once I hit that I'm treating myself to some new clothes! Until then I'll just keep borrowing from friends

Alcohol After Being Sleeved
Lilee84 replied to djprince714's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told no alcohol for a year, but I broke that at about 7 weeks and had a few glasses of wine with some girlfriends one night and I was perfectly fine. I had a pretty high tolerance for alcohol before though so those 4 glasses really did nothing for me except give me a headache the next morning. -
It's Friday Confession Time!

What peacequeen said... Also, tomato soup may not work out too well, I know it didn't for me. It was too acidic.
