  1. Someone else already messaged me, but I'll keep you in mind for the next box of clothes And might I add WOW you ladies are on it today!
  2. I'm not sure exactly what I have, I just kind of toss it into a bin if I try it on and it doesn't fit, but since I'm moving in a few weeks I'd like the bin to go bye bye. I'm sure it will fit into a large flat rate box - if you're interested message me here or on yahoo (LMWilson84)
  3. I was thinking the same thing! More towards the end of summer though - I have a wedding to go to at the beginning of June where I have to see an old flame - He's never seen me with long dark hair since I'm usually a beach blonde with a shoulder length cut. I'm kinda going for the wow factor but I definitely want to chop it all off when I get back
  4. I'm a little tardy to the party today thanks to sitting in court for 2 hours this morning, but now that I'm here it's Thursday Thinker time! Here we go! That first peak is the best place to pause and look back, to see if you took the easiest route, to learn the lessons from the first climb. And it is the best place to examine the terrain ahead, to change your plans and goals, to take a deep breath and begin climbing again.
  5. Thankfully chips are a slider food for most so unless you ate the whole bag the likelyhood of dumping in your sleep is probably pretty slim. The down side is that chips are LOADED with fat, calories, and carbs so you're basically liquid for the entire next day to make up for it. I'd talk to your doc to see if there are any alternatives.

    Wine And Whine Wednesday!

It's Wine and Whine Wednesday boys and girls! Time to b*tch, gripe, and moan about whatever is eating you, or maybe whatever you're eating Today I'm irritated that Steve is so unhappy. He won't let me eat so much as a yogurt and hasn't in several days, so I've essentially been surviving on liquids and a few little nibbles a day since about Friday. And on top of that, I'm freaking stalled... AGAIN! I went from being stalled at 237 to now being stalled at 225, and I am yo-yo'ing between 225 and 230 right now. I know it will pass and I know it's normal, but added to the fact that I can't even up my calories or Protein to try and break it and it's just irritating. ETA: Oh, and if this chick in my office doesn't stop asking me how I am and how much weight I've lost every.single.time she passes me (several times daily) and in that falsely friendly voice I'm going to effing scream! Here's to Campbell's for breakfast!

    Wine And Whine Wednesday!

First of all EWWWWWW! Disgusting! WTF is wrong with people? I'd hate to see their homes. And second of all - I probably should have refrained from reading this post while getting my afternoon SF chocolate fix. On a side note, I hated chocolate pre-op, wtf?

    Your Daily Dose Of Funny...

    Enjoy! http://pleated-jeans.com/2012/04/09/15-funny-quotes-from-famous-people/#more-30608
  9. I didn't think about that - thank you! This is why I <3 this board
  10. Thanks mama! I dunno if they're the cause as the turkey dog was mid day after Steve refused my scrambled egg for Breakfast, and the turkey sausage was around dinner time a different day after Steve had refused food that day as well... I'm gonna go back to basics for the rest of the week and see if a) that kicks me out of the 225 range I've been stuck at for a week, and Whatever's upsetting Steve resolves itself.
  11. There doesn't seem to be a method to the madness... In no particular order here's what I've tried to eat with no success since about Friday or so... A scrambled egg with cheese, chicken breast with bbq sauce on top, a turkey hot dog, a sausage egg and cheese tortilla (just the guts, not the tortilla), black Beans, deli sliced turkey, a turkey sausage patty with cheese... I'm sure there were other things but that's really all I can remember right now. I've got some deli turkey rolls (slice of meat, slice of cheese, rolled) in the fridge for lunch but I doubt I'll even be able to choke half of one down before Steve tells me no... I'm working on getting my fluids in for now.
  12. Congratulations Jess! Welcome to the losers bench! I'm glad to hear things are going so well for you - I was going to offer you some of my "bigger" clothes since you're shrinking out of yours, but it looks like we're about the same size so hmph! LOL!

    Stall Before Monthly Visitor....

I don't get a period thanks to my Implanon, but I do notice that around the time when I *should* get it my weight fluctuates a bit. I'm guessing it's water weight.
  14. I dunno if it's possible but what you have just described sounds heavenly! I haven't had a massage since... uhmm... I don't even remember. It's been a reaaaally long time! Maybe that will be my mothers day present to myself this year
  15. Here is your Tuesday Thinker... "Imperfection is beauty. Madness is genius. It's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring. When it comes down to it, I let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do, I'm already better than them"
  16. Hey all! We are compiling a list of the most frequently asked questions for the newly sleeved to refer to and we wanna know - what questions did you have Post-op about VSG, the surgery itself, recovery, diets, exercise.. Whatever!? All of your questions will be compiled, answered, and pinned for the future newly sleeved.. So please, be open, be honest, be blunt even! And remember that the only dumb questions are the ones left unasked. Let's hear 'em!
  17. What's one thing you wish someone had told you before your surgery about life after surgery? Me? I wish someone had told me just how different it would be! All the naturally skinny (read healthy) people at the Dr's office explaining it to us definitely were not as effective as a recently sleeved patient explaining it. I feel like the people working at my surgeons office generally aren't as knowledgeable as they think they are given that they've never actually been there before.

    Scars

I had a cyst removed from my throat when I was three and I still have the scar. It's very light (read almost paper white) now but it's still there. I dropped a scalding hot cup of coffee and got 3rd degree burns on my ankle when I was 6, still have the scar. It's much lighter and smaller, but it's still there. I fell off of a porch and scraped my leg on the side of a wooden cabin when I was 8 - it left me with about a 12in long scar on my calf... The scar is still there but it's about half the size and covered by a tattoo so not really noticeable anymore... My c-section from 9/2010 - still there but much less visible.. If you didn't know I had a c-section you wouldn't know what it is. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say, the scars will never fully go away, but in about 6-12mos they should fade and become much less noticeable.
  19. In light of Easter weekend I wanna know... How will you spend your weekend? This morning I took my nephew and son to an Easter egg hunt and then the park. This afternoon after a short nap my son and I played outside while my nephew helped my dad fix the fence, and then the boys and I went to a family fun festival in the city where we live. Tomorrow were headed to the falls to spend the day swimming and hanging out with friends, and afterwards we'll head to my moms house for Easter dinner. Anyone else have any fun plans this weekend?
  20. I had to share because weight wise I've been holding steady around 225, but inches wise... I found my box of pre-pregnancy clothes (198 and a size 14/16 before I got prego 1/2010) - Just for shots and giggles I tried on what *used* to be my favorite bra... It fit! Then I pulled out a pair of pants... THEY FIT! Lastly I pulled out a shirt and IT FIT! I haven't been able to wear these clothes in 2 years and they freaking fit! I'm doing a little happy dance right now

    Growling?

That's pretty typical for being so close to your surgery. I'm almost 3 months out and I think mine finally stopped talking to me about 3 weeks ago.
  22. I drink wine now... I used to be a bacardi and diet or a margarita drinker, now the margaritas are too sweet and the bacardi n diet just doesn't taste the same. Now gimme a nice Reisling or a Malbec depending on my mood and in a happy camper!
  23. My PA saw me at my last visit and told me that the capacity of my sleeve is anywhere from 8-12oz, but he did also say that doesn't meant I'll be able to ear that much since its not taking into consideration the lining if the stomach which is apparently quite thick. He said the most I'll probably ever be able to eat is about 9oz comfortably and that it will take some time to get there. I was also told to measure, not weigh, my food. What I'm getting at is that there really isn't one single standard and were all different. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
  24. I was supposed to be liquid pre-op but the protein shakes made me want to vom so I just ate some type of lean protein instead of drinking them... I'd say get the food funerals out of the way now by making sure all those unhealthy tempting foods are out if the house now rather than post op when you'll be dying to just have a bite of something.
  25. I've been craving sweets for two days so instead of eating something sweet, I'm eating SF popsicles instead. I've had like 5 already tonight!
