    Just Wondering

I'd be concerned at 3 weeks out that what you're feeling is probably not actually hunger and is more likely either head hunger or reflux. Have you tried taking an antacid?
  2. I need to learn how to make Thai tea...

  3. It doesn't matter what I do or what i say, its never good enough. I try and have a normal conversation with you, you don't even acknowledge words left my mouth - I complain about something unrelated to you, you bite my head off... Seems I'm fanned if I do and fanned if i don't. #countingthedays

  4. Sweet Jesus take me now! Two more hours of this!

  5. a 3 hour training right after lunch? Who does that?!

  6. Check the "Frequently Asked Questions" post that's pinned up top. They're called foamies/slimes and they happen when you eat a bit too much or something gets stuck. It's your bodies way of trying to digest and dislodge the object.
  7. Sucks! In a moment of weakness I had a Swiss cake roll... I was never big on sweets or junk food pre-op, my issue was portion control. I didn't think it would be a big deal - guess that's what I get for thinking...
  8. I love that my kid loves broccoli and will eat that and his carrots before anything else on his plate, including his steak.

    Dental Issues ?

I'd definitely get a 2nd opinion. The dosage of anesthesia isn't calculated or effected by the size of your stomach, it's calculated by your height and weight. And why would you need to be cleared for anesthesia anyway, don't they use novacane to do fillings like most dentists? I'm so confused...
  10. I'm sure the coffee and metamucil won't hurt. It can't hurt to try right? Be fore warned though, the salt water mix tastes horrible! I personally just put the 2tsp in about 4oz of warm water and take a "shot" at a time, then chug (as much as we can chug) 32oz after
  11. Try 32 Oz of lukewarm water with 2 teaspoons of non-iodized sea salt (iodized salt will not work) Drink when you get up and on an empty stomach, otherwise the salt will be competing with undigested food. Around 1 hour later eliminations should commence. It's best to set aside 2 hours before you go out, to prevent any accidents.
  12. There comes a point in your work day where you realize that no more work is going to be done. When that point comes before 10:30 its time for a Starbucks run...

  13. Ok, so I did a little digging to try and find a definitive answer and this is the closest I've come. Not a bad answer http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/ate/womenshealth/207086.html

    Im Such And Idiot!

*typed as I sip my starbucks... Through a straw* I *think* the main reason they say no straws is because typically we use straws when drinking sodas and milkshakes and alcohol and.. and... you get the point. Sure there's a chance that it could cause you to take in extra air, but the amount would be so miniscule that it likely wouldn't bother you too terribly much. I think it's more just the fact that straws are associated with stuff on the no no list.
  15. Definitely keep taking it - it causes more problems if you're taking it and then suddenly stop, and then start again, than it does to just continue taking it. Plus it will regulate your period, but right now as I said your body is adjusting to a MAJOR trauma... Also, if you're married or in a relationship and plan on having sex with your hubby./partner, you definitely need it. We are WAY more fertile post-op just in case you weren't aware.
  16. Totally normal. I have an Implanon implant in my arm and haven't gotten a period since I got it last March... EXCEPT for when I got sleeved.. I bled for two weeks straight - heavy too. Your body just went through a major trauma so its understandable things would get a bit out of whack.
  17. Freaking starving! Scrambled egg with cheese? Protein is always a good choice

    Esophagus Pain

A stricture is what happens when scar tissue builds up in your esophagus (sometimes caused by reflux) that causes your esophagus to narrow and makes swallowing difficult.

    Esophagus Pain

It sounds like it could be a stricture to me
  20. Anybody know where I could get a stamp collection appraised in Orlando?

  21. I never thought I'd see the day where I would correct someone and tell them to call me ma'am, but if the overly caffeinated cashier at Dunkys called me hon or honey one more time, I was gonna jump through the window.

  22. Alright boys and girls - the last two weeks have royally sucked but tomorrow starts a new week and a whole new set of challenges! Classes start tomorrow, working all week, Disney with Katie and the boys on Saturday, then moving all my boxes into my new place on Sunday... God give me strength!

  23. Hang in there, it will get better. Week two, even though I was "allowed" to eat yogurt, applesauce, cottage cheese and anything of similar consistency, realistically speaking I was only *ABLE* to eat cottage cheese and SF popsicles. I suggest not buying a whole lot until you discover what your sleeve will tolerate.
