No Speaka de English A bus stops, and 2 Italian men get on. They sit down and engage in an animated conversation. The lady sitting next to them ignores them at first, but her attention is galvanized when she hears one of them say the following: "Emma comefirst. Den I come. Den two asses come together. I come once-a-more. Two asses, they come together again. I come again and pee twice. Then I come one lasta time." "You foul-mouthed, sex-obsessed swine," retorted the lady indignantly. "In this country....we don't speak aloud in public places about our sex lives." "Hey, coola down lady," said the man. "Who talkin' abou ta sex? I'm a jus! ta tellin' my frienda how to spell Mississippi'." I BET YOU READ THIS AGAIN!!!

This is Vera's idea and I would like to just expand on it and I hope Vera dosen't mind. In 1988 my wife's brother died at the age of 26 and several of our dearest friends purchased a Rose of Sharon bush and had it delivered and planted in our yard in his name. To this day that bush stands as the finest looking vegatation in my yard and is very hugh and when it blooms there is nothing more beautiful. And every day We remember him just by glancing out the window. This is why I want to take Vera's plan to plant a tree in Blossom's name in my yard and ask that anyone else who wants to to post here and let see what type forest we can create in her memory. I am going to plant a second Rose of Sharon in her memory when the weather breaks. I have long wanted to add a second one and now I will. I know it will Grow as stong and beautiful as the One planted for Robbie. Please Join Vera and me in planting for a very lovely young lady.

Because of my Midnite job my breakfast is at different time then most. But When I first wake up I cannot eat or drink anything for approx an hour. When I get to work first thing I do is eat my breakfast.(normally a yougurt with corn flakes or shreadded Wheat, a small banana and a portion of protein). I eat the banans last in-case I am feeling to full I will save it for a snack a few hours later. Most times I do not feel hungry when I eat this meal. Keep in mind when I eat this meal I have been up an hour, been sleeping 7 hours and not eaten for 1 -2 hours before going to bed. But if I don't eat then I get to hungry and when I decide to eat I tend to eat to fast and then I'm uncomfortable. If I eat the breakfast (normally its 11pm when I do) I don't eat again until 4 or 5 am When I eat my lunch. I get off work at 7 am and then when I get home I eat my dinner around noon-1pm.

Denise, I sure hope no one knocks being a stay at home mom(or dad). Between all the work I do I also do all the house work...inside and out. My wife works very hard and her hours are so off norm that it doens't give her the chance on weekdays to do the house cleaning and cooking. SO I do... and because of this I know for a fact it is the hardest of all jobs and the pays sucks big time. Only benifit is the satisfaction of caring for the needs of the family. Wife handles it all on weekends which gives me a break.

Anyone wear a medical id bracelet?
lapbander081004 replied to piercedqt78's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Medical Alert bands or neckless should be worn. It is very important that in the case of an emergency they don't try shoving a tube down us and that can damage the band and casue severe trouble for us. Cards in the wallet are ok. But the bracelt or neckless is better. Directing them to a wallet or purse that may not have made the trip to the hospital is usless. I am purchasing mine from http://www.laurenshope.com Just another site you can go to. As a suggestion. Get your Dr to provide you with his 24 hour emergency number to put on the band so he can be reached from anywhere. -
Lyle as this was your idea and I want to thank you, from my heart, for allowing me to help you in the attempt to put this function on. We have become friends out of this and that I will cheerish this till my end days. And I'd like to say thank you to Nancy also. We never realized how much effort she put into this with her job and the other functions she was involved in. Like you Lyle I hope to be able to meet fellow bandsters thru functions that I will be looking into making. Will still look forward to many more Friday lunches with you and Nancy.

Three pieces of rope are walking down the street and as they pass the local bar they decide they needed a beer. AS they were about to walk in there was a sign on the door that said. "We don't serve ropes here" One piece of rope said "this isn't right. I'm going in there to tell him what I think." as he entered the bar the bartender said hey aren't you a rope and the rope said yes and I demand a beer. Two seconds later the rope comes flying out of the bar and lands on the sidewalk next to his two other rope friends. The seocnd piece of rope got really mad and goes storming into the bar and a few secnds later he comes flying out. The third piece of rope says. You got it all wrong guys I'll show you how to get that drink. He then bends himself into a pretzel style and gets out a comb and fluffs the ends of his rope. Walks into the bar and jumps up on bar stool and the bartender says.. "Hey aren't you a piece of rope????" and the rope say... Nope I'm a FRAID KNOW

Margo, My Dr say my goal weight is 185-190... But some of my healthist years and best years were when I weight 215..and thats where I want to get to. I played lots of sports and played semi pro hockey at that weight. Was in great shape of course and I was much younger then too. When I get around 220/215 I will make up my own mind if I want to lose more or maintain that weight.

The whole thing is sad but it is true that more times then not it is one of the parents involved. I just hope and pray that who ever it is is caught soon and placed in a cell with a very very large angry person.

Many of you may not know that I am a Viet Nam Vet. One of the most outrages things ever to happen to me in life was to return to this country and to face the hate and negative feelings people had towards me because I served in the conflict. I did what my government ask of me and I'd do it again if I had to. We are still experiencing the same thing towards many of our dedicated men and women who give up a portion of their lives if not their life altogether to serve that this nation will remain free. Those that oppose these men and women do so verbally, in print and in many other ways. They can do this because of the freedoms they have due to the men and women who have fought in our military, the ones they spit on and hate, who have keep their freedoms intact by going to fight a battle they know they may not return from. Please no matter what your feelings are about the conflicts....DO NOT lose sight of the fact that those losing their lives there are just common good people who have families like you and I. I ask you to join this movement to show your support for those fighting the war not necessarily the war itself: Red on Fridays You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays Here's why ..... The Americans who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, would like to start a grassroots movement using the membership of the Special Operations Association, and Special Forces Associations, and all their friends, simply, to recognize that Americans support our troops. We need to inform the local VFW's and American Legion, our local press, local TV, and continue carrying the message to the national levels as we start to get this going. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is -starting Friday, and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red - blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED. Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see! if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! Let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays. I sent this out to everyone on my email list; hopefully, you will too. Wear Red on Fridays .... SUPPORT OUR TROOPS, WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE. FOR US, THEIR BLOOD RUNS RED!!

I have been a Two allergy shot a month person since age 17. I'm 54 now and still take shots.. Normally people who get allergy injection can be weaned to oral meds over a period of time but thats not the case with me. When ever they try just meds I have difficulty and end up back on injections. I have allergy induced Asthma and I have two children who are severe asthmatics. We have three machines in the house and allergy meds on every counter. Inhalers like you won't believe. In 1992(phew this goes back aways...lol) I got the flu then went into phenuma(can't spell it but can catch it like crazy...lol). While awaiting a hopsital bed to open I had a major asthma attack and had to be rushed to the hospital. I spent 32 days out of work 20 in hospital 10 of those on a respirator and I lost 4 days while in a coma and they thought I won't survive. End result of this was that I have never had or even felt like I was going to have another asthama attack since. Doctors are completely amazed at this fact. I do not use an inhaler or my machine and have not since my release form the hospital...go figure this one out. One Dr simply stated I had such a severe attack he said I must have just blown it right out of my system. I still suffer from severe allergies and still on monthly injections but generally speaking since banding my allergies have improved. My allergist stated since my general health has inproved my body is handling the allergies better. Not that I will ever get off the injections but at least I don't have as much stuffy time during the months. I know this is quite long posting but I guess the point is the better we are helath wise the better lots of our health issues will get. And from a long time allergy sufferer I sure hope those out there that suffer from them get healthier and their allergy problem lihghten up for them.

I have had four fills. First fill one poke and the Dr was in Second fill the Dr had difficulty cause my port had tipped. poked me 4 times, On third fill the other Dr had to pke me three times to get in and on last fill the Dr went in and withdrew the 2 cc to make sure it was still there and added 1 more and poked me again to put it all in. So 4 fill dates 10 pokes felt .....0...One hour later can't even see where the pokes went in. Its so easy its unbeliveable. And I am the Worlds Largest baby when it comes to needles and me. Don't be frightened when you see the needle. It just looks mean but has no bark... Good luck

If You Could Change 1 or 2 things about your Doctor what would it be?
lapbander081004 replied to I'llsucceed's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I won't change Dr at all. I have had great success with the Dr and his office. And the after care that I get is unbelievable. Only thing I'd change about the whole process is I would have done it sooner if I was to do it over.
