TEACHERS LEAVE THOSE KIDS ALONE....IT JUST ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL. Let me start off by saying that I LOVE teachers. They in my opinion should be the highest paid profession as they form the future. (and I don't say that because I teach at a local college) But they need to stick to teaching. Oh I believe when they see things that need to be reported they do so. But they should not do the diagnosis on our children. I spent thousands of dollars on two of my children that teachers insisted were ADD Kids....Turns out after many test that my kids were in fact not ADD...Honestly I don't think they liked the school settings. My son did poorly during the years he was continueally told by his teachers that he had problems. Once he graduated and enter the college setting he excelled in his studies and graduated with honors. My daughter was removed from High School after her junior year and was home schooled for her senior year. Fortunately I had the time to do this with her and she passed even my expectations. She also has gone on to college and is doing extremely well. If there is an indication that your child has any type medical or mental health issues seek professional help.

You can see what a wonderful person Blossom was that she has touched so many of us here and everywhere she went. Its hard to believe a year has passed she her physical being has left us...But she is really not gone. I have a 4 cc band and have had four fills 1/2 cc then another 1/2 and then 1 cc and the last fill was 1 cc. This was over a period of 8 months after my band was put on. I wish I could have had restriction from the beginning but I understand that its not the same for everyone and the Dr's can't just load it up. Its better to get small fills till you get to your "SWEET SPOT". Once your there its great. I have good restriction. Its bad food choices that have given me pause with my losing weight. But I'm bad being a good boy and hopefully I'll get rid of the few pounds I picked up soon and then go from there.

I may be a retired cop but I still each Alcohol and Drug driving Laws to Police Officers in Michigan. Your in a situation no one wants to be in. I think your Tough Love approach is the best. It is your house and your rules must be followed. Jenna as you know every state has different Laws on possession. In Michigan There is a new law for Drugs and driving. If one person is in possession in the vehicle all are charged. Vehicles are confiscated and forfieted all the time. The law is designed to make everyone else in the car check thier friends so no one is in possession. Our tough approach here has created, for the last four years, a steady decrease in deaths in cars from alcohol and drug use. He, his wife, the baby or even worst all three could be the victims with his use of the marijuana.

I have four kids and didn't feel a thing in any of the child births. I was back at work in two days. Had very little pain and took no pain meds.

I second the Presidnet of the Slow Loser Club on this. Kathy hit it right on the head. The main reason I choose the band was because it my body using my system to do all the normal functions. Its a tool to assist me in eating less and right. And so far it's working as long as I am working with it. I'm in control here. (SHHHHH don't let the wife hear me say that)

I had just received this e-mail my self and after a quick review of the web site and a call to my Dr that there was the concern I posted it. I have gone back and re-read the entire site and see that you are correct. I apologize for the quick posting. I truely believe we should be as up to date as we can be and I failed here. Daniela, My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. My Dad died 18 yrs ago at a time in my life when we were really getting to know each other since he was an alcoholic. He stopped drinking and we were enjoying the time making up for what we missed. Then he left. The hurt was tremendous but after time I realized that the passing of our parents, no matter how hard it is, is the proper progression in life. I also learn quickly that he never really left because I didn't want him to. He's here every day and as long as I think of him every day he will show up. I'll never let him go. Hopefully you'll be able to do the same with your mom. Remember we are spiritual beings having a human experience. So the spirits in us still can communicate that never dies.

My wife just went thru Mandatory CPR training at her work. A girl she works with has had RNY and she won't allow the instructor to demonstrate on her because she said she heard it won't work on her because of the surgery. Does CPR work on lapbanded people and what about the (oh God I don't now how to spell it so her goes) Hymlick. Will it work??? My Dr said he doesn't believe it will. Looking for someone who may know this because I think its important for us to know. I realize that due to our extensive chewing of food were are less prone to choke but damn you never know. And I don't really care if doing this on me blows out the band. That can be repaired. Can't come baack from death.
