Also keep in mind when the band is first put on the stomach it casues the area where the band is to swell and fight the foreign object. The bands do not have Fluid (fill) added to them when first put in. Once the swelling goes down the stoma opens more and then we eat more. The band gets a fill when this happens and then its a game between our systems and the fills. Right now I am on 1600 calories a day intake. My band has to have an adjustment to allow me to pass the amount of food thur during normal waking hours so I get all the proper benifits from my diet. When I lose enough weight and have my calorie intake reduced, so will the amount of product going thru be reduced. So the band may have to be tightened some to allow the food to stay in upper pouch longer thus maintaining the full feeling longer so I don't overeat. Once I get to my ideal weight the band needs to be where the calories in and out match so that weight is maintained there should not have to be any other fills.

A year ago this Month I had to have carpol tunnel surgery on my wrists. They did the left one first. I had to go to the fire department to get my wedding ring cut off and it left the deepest groove. Hard to believe there was blood getting to the tip of that ring finger. Well when I started to consider this lapband I didn't bother to get ring sized up. Late week when my brother in law got married I saw the ring in the dresser and i tried it on. IT fits.(NSV) AS soon as I lose anther 20 pounds I will get it repaired . I do miss wearing it. Hey I went to a Family Wedding last Friday night in my newly taken in suit. My mother in law walked right past me and didn't recognize me. I was in heaven. Then my sister in law had to go spill the Beans that I was there. Some poeple are alive just because its illegal to kill them.

Michelle, Good luck with your first post op visit. I was there today and the Dr practiced on me so he knows what he is doing when you get there. LOL Not losing as much weight as I did in beging but thats ok. Lost another inch off waist and inch and a half off hips and another 1/2 off neck. Feel like the wicked witch of the west and someone threw Water on me. LOL (for you youngsters thats from the Wizzard of Oz.)

After about 20 minutes of crying on the phone they agreed to let me come in at 12:30 today.lol So off to shower and then go get my new restrictions.

Your absolutely right (as always) DeLarla. A pound is a pound of pure ugly when it comes to fat.So I change that from I only lost a pound this week to " One pound of fat has left the building"

I'm here fresh from the Sleep Center and down 1 more pound. So its 68 pounds now. Cheated for the first time this weekend and it wasn't the Halloween candy either. New week new start

Lauri as a retired cop(traffic officer) I can tell you from personal experience that that fast driving thing is a female trait LOL. Well I slept very well at the Center last nite. Got up for one little tinkle and went right back to sleep. See my Nuerologist on Nov 15 for results. Every since I had been put on the C-PAP I never had trouble with it until I lost 60 pounds. Now the pressure is to high and it keeps me up. I can adjust the pressure(ramp it they call it). It drops to 8 pounds from the 15 pounds its set for. Over the next 30 mins it allows me to fall asleep and I stay that way for 2-3 hours then I start fighting with it. If I reach over and tap the ramp switch it goes back to 8 pounds and starts over again. My masks are no problem I wear the over the nose one and I have a mustache but it seals just fine. Mask has always been comfortable. But then I never had any trouble sleeping. I can sleep sitting , standing, laying down. Sleep while working driving (lol) and some times while at the compu.....zzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZ
